"The world will never believe in a religion in which there is no power. A rationalized faith, a socialized Church, and a moralized gospel may gain applause, but they awaken no conviction and win no converts." -Samuel Chadwick

Anything that comes from God will sooner or later, pass into the realm of suffering, into the realm of travail to find out how much value we put upon it, how much it really means to us, how much we have seen of God in it, it will become a matter of life or death." -T. Online! | Re: | | The Gospel of Satan - Arthur Pink
The gospel of Satan is not a system of revolutionary principles, nor yet a program of anarchy. It does not promote strife and war, but aims at peace and unity. It seeks not to set the mother against her daughter nor the father against his son, but fosters the fraternal spirit whereby the human race is regarded as one great "brotherhood." It does not seek to drag down the natural man, but to improve and uplift him. It advocates education and cultivation and appeals to the "best that is within us." It aims to make this world such a comfortable and congenial habitat that Christ's absence from it will not be felt and God will not be needed. It endeavors to occupy man so much with this world that he has no time or inclination to think of the world to come. It propagates the principles of self-sacrifice, charity and benevolence, and teaches us to live for the good of others, and to be kind to all. It appeals strongly to the carnal mind and is popular with the masses, because it ignores the solemn facts that by nature man is a fallen creature, alienated from the life of God, and dead in trespasses and sins, and that his only hope lies in being born again.

| Re: | | There is a common worldly kind of Christianity in this day, which many have, and think they have enough.
This cheap Christianity . . . offends nobody, requires no sacrifice, costs nothing, and is worth nothing!

| Re: | | If you feel at any time "death working in you," as doubtless you will, withering the bloom of your religious devoutness, chilling the fervor of your devotions, and quenching the allegiance of your faith, remember, He who first aroused you to life in Christ must keep you alive. The Spirit of God is like the sap that flowed into your poor dry branch, because you were grafted into Christ, and by that sap alone you can ever bring forth fruit to God. -Spurgeon |

"The preachers task is to cry, as did John the Baptist, Behold the Lamb of God; not to attract attention to himself or to gather a clique around himself.
