Conrad Mbewe ( - )
Listen to freely downloadable audio sermons by the speaker Conrad Mbewe in mp3 format. Rev. Conrad Mbewe is pastor at the Kabwata Baptist Church in Lusaka, Zambia. He is also the author of Foundations for the Flock: Truths about the Church for All the Saints. Widely regarded as the African Spurgeon, Conrad Mbewe is faithfully and powerfully proclaiming the Word of God in Zambia from Kabwata Baptist Church in Lusaka. Like Spurgeon, he works himself to exhaustion.
In his own words, "We used to go out on Saturdays to evangelize door-to-door, and then invite people to church on Sunday. When I graduated in 1984 and went to work in the copper mining town of Mufulira, the church I joined immediately made me leader of the youth work. By the end of my first year in that church, the leaders had decided that I would preach every Sunday, as long as I was not working! Other churches began to call on me to preach for them too, so that by 1987 (the year I left to go into full time ministry), there was hardly a Sunday when I was not preaching somewhere. So, when the call came to pastor Kabwata Baptist Church, I was more than ready to throw aside my hard-hat and hold the plough with both hands."

| | | | | | | | The 'All Things' that Work for Our Good by Conrad Mbewe
Topic: Purpose Of God Scripture(s): Romans 8:28 | | Description: Such faithful exposition of Gods word causes one to smile at the storm because of the assurance that Christ is in the vessel and very much in control of all things. What is meant to harm us turns out to make us exclaim like Hezekiah in Isaiah 38 that surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. We are still in this very rich verse that has spoken comfort to millions of Christians around the world and right across historyRomans 8:28.

| | | | | The Righteous Branch by Conrad Mbewe
Topic: Warning Scripture(s): Jeremiah 23 | | Description: Conrad Mbewe highlighted some important insights on leadership in Jeremiah 23. The failure of Israels leaders led to their peoples idolatry. Rather than Israels leaders being a means of blessing, they were instead a means of judgment. But the God of the universe would not allow his agenda to be highjacked by ungodly leaders. God promised that he would send a Someone to lead His people, raising up a righteous Branch who would reign as a wise king. Who is this Person? You dont have to search far to find out who this Someone is: Jesus of Nazareth.
