| | Heavenly comfort by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Comfort Scripture(s): Philippians 2:1-4 | | Description: When the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins and we confess and forsake them and are washed by the Blood of Jesus, then we shall experience the true comfort of the Holy Spirit. To those who love God, all things work together for good. We don't know what the future holds, but we know Him who holds the future. When Jesus departed, His disciples were sorrowful. Jesus said to them, 'It is expedient for you that I go, for when I depart, the Comforter will come - the Holy Spirit'. In verse 2 we read, "Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind". God's people can live in this world of sin and in the devil's domain, being 'likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.' It is a foretaste of heaven, when God's people dwell together in such unity. Such a life is completely dedicated to God. That life and Spirit which was in Christ Jesus must also be in you.

| | His Cross - Your Cross by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Cross Scripture(s): Mark 15:21 | | Description: The Lord’s trial had gone through the night, from Pilate to Herod and back to Pilate. Herod and Pilate were enemies, but now they became friends. They found common ground in their enmity against Jesus. On the way to be crucified, history teaches us that Jesus was carrying His cross and fell down because He was weak from all the torture. The Bible doesn’t specifically say that but historians mention it. But the Bible does tell us that when He went to Gethsemane, He took with Him His disciples only to a certain point and three others a little further and left them too and He went still a little further and prayed earnestly, even so that His sweat drops were as blood. He was in a terrific battle, and He prayed and said, "Father if it’s possible let this cup pass from Me, nevertheless not My will but Your will be done". That cup was filled with your sin and my sin - the sin of the world. He Who is the Holy Son of God became sin for us! Jesus was fully man and fully God.

| | How to Receive God's Blessing by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Blessing Scripture(s): Psalm 24:3-6 | | Description: Very often we say "God bless you" but it is no light thing to say something like that. Do those people truly receive the blessing? Often we pray a blessing over our children and relatives. Why is it that people desire the blessing but so few receive it. Those who go to the witch doctor are told if they take the potion or slaughter a cow they will receive blessing but many grow old never having received blessing. Some die not having received God’s blessing. How then do we receive His blessing?

| | If heaven is yours by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Heaven Scripture(s): Romans 13:11-14 | | Description: A person who is asleep doesn't know what is going on around him. So too those who are asleep spiritually. Salvation has come, but they are asleep and oblivious to the fact. They insist on following their own ambitions. Their life just revolves around themselves. They are dead in their sins. But if the Lord has quickened you, your life should overflow. Spiritually you should live a supernatural, victorious life. God expects it from you and me. In Hebrews 2, Jesus says that He isn't ashamed to call us His brethren. (We say it with utter respect and only because Jesus said it first). We are even called heirs to His Kingdom. As an heir you stand in line for an inheritance. Our life must be different if we truly comprehend this fact. Woe to you if you don't wake up, do His will and live the life He expects from you.
