Heart preparation for revival by Duncan Campbell

Topic: Revival
Scripture(s): 1 John 1
Description: "Revival begins in His heart, and He operates through my life." God's operation through His people as "agents of revival" though must have a gripping desire for reality. "A God-sent revival," he said, "must ever be related to holiness and separation." The three conditions of this preparation are getting into the light (heart-searching prayer), acknowledging what the light reveals (repentance), and walking in the light (obedience). Campbell seriously challenges those who would see revival (not just dream about it) to be unsparingly honest about themselves.

 Walk in the Light
What powerful truths. How we need to get serious and specific with God and walk in obedience to the truth that he shows us. Oh that we would experience God in the way that Duncan Campbell did, that we would know what it means to see a people saturated with God.

 Probably a 5+ - a much needed message
I love this quote of Campbell: "The man who is entirely sincere will live no longer under any self-created illusion about life in its immediate or in its ultimate aspect. He will face himself with unqualified honesty." The word of God is a sword; this message is the point on the sword. A great practical way of getting the heart right for God to work. This, combined with David Guzik's "How to Pray for Revival", are an excellent combination for anyone seeking practical advice from God's Word *how* to be prepared to be a vessel meet for the Master's use.

Great truth for geniune revival
