God's Holy Things

Ravenhill shows his awe and relationship with God in seeing the things of God as "holy" and revering them thus rebuking those men that would trifle with such precious things. "no wonder your church is ungodly!" God will have a holy people when a holy pastor and is preaching from a pulpit that is "holy" and sanctified to exalting the truth of God.

Holy Fear?

A sober reminder of the sanctity of the pulpit and a sad commentary on a generation lacking reverence for God and the preaching of the Word. Perhaps this behavior could be understood if coming from unregenerate youth; but preachers of the Gospel? May God have mercy on this generation of prayerless ministers!
