Can two walk together, except they be agreed? (Amos 3:3)

I appreciate Leonard Ravenhill as a man who knew what preaching is all about. It is not merely spouting dry, theological facts, but taking the very Word of God and pricking the consciences of men with it. It is appealing neither to the mind nor to the emotions so much as to the conscience and then to the will. Appealing to the conscience by appealing to what is right (the truths God has implanted in the heart of every man). Appealing to the will by presenting man with a decision to make...the expectation of a response to accept or reject God's reveal truth set ablaze by the Holy Spirit. He was passionate about passionate preaching. Surely every sermon is urgent...if it is indeed from God. This sermon is one of many so needed by the Church of our day. We need to learn how to walk with God from these two Bible characters, so that the world will again take knowledge that we have been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13)
