Walking With God by Duncan Campbell

Topic: Walking With God
Scripture(s): Amos 3:1-8
Description: Campbell remarked, “The reality of the divine Presence is not the dominating feature of much that goes under the name of Christian experience.” We should be agreed on four things in walking with God: the place we meet, the purpose, the pace and the cost, which is absolute surrender to the will of God. The place of blessing and price of revival comes through devotion to Jesus, waiting upon God and personal sacrifice. Is He real?

 Waiting place
God has blessed me through this hearing of the word - it will change you if you let Him....God get us there...I know this is not much of a review but I have to say that his word is as fresh to me as it was to his hearers all those years ago. Truly a word from God used by His Spirit. Bless you as you listen...I need to find a waiting wait on God.

Cuts to the chase - surrender
As seems normal to Campbell's sermons, the nuggets are loaded toward the backend after Scripture has been expounded and examples laid out. I was really challenged by having 'a spirit of inquiry into our devotions'--asking, 'Lord, what wilt Thou have me to do?' He basically showed that anyone wanting revival without total dedication to Christ is wasting their time. I loved the testimony of the elder who waited upon God for 7 years before seeing revival in his parish. Lots of practical advice about seeking the PERSON of God, and how one can get caught up into religion without Him.

This message speaks mightily on waiting on God and not forcing the issue of doing in our lives.

Promoting Genuine Biblical Revival.
