| | Strange Incense by David Wilkerson
Topic: Worship Scripture(s): 1 Peter 3:11-12 | | Description: This is a dynamite message although the sound quality isnt the greatest. Bear with that and hear this message. It is a message on the prayer, praise and worship that goes before the Lord. If you have a fear of conviction or a desire to remain lukewarm or cold, this is not the message for you. This sermon examines the "dark side of prayer" -- that is, God's response to prayer from impure hearts and unclean hands. Prayer from an unrepentant and selfish heart will produce judgment rather than stopping it. The starting point for the message is God's judgment upon Nadab and Abihu in Leviticus 10 for offering "strange fire" on the altar of incense. This is a must-listen in this day of frequent calls to prayer -- prayer without repentance will do nothing but hasten judgment.

| | Worship that Calls for a Sword by Carter Conlon
Topic: Worship Scripture(s): Exodus 32:27 | | Description: Carter uses the text in Exodus 32, when the children of God made and worshipped a calf with the noise of war, to contrast false and true worship. There is a false worship that sounds like the noise of war and there is a true worship that only comes from being true to God. If we find that we are not walking in a true and honest worship, we must take a sword {the word of God} to that false worship and kill the false worship. Exo 32:27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.

| | The Anatomy of Worship by Art Katz
Topic: Worship Scripture(s): Genesis 4 | | Description: True sacrifice is only found in a worshipful heart that recognizes and acknowledges God as God, as He essentially is. Anything less than this will lead to hardness of heart and eventually to murder in one form or another. An excellent prophetic statement taken from the classic episode of Cain and Abel.
