| | The Depth of the Gospel - Part 2 by Paul Washer
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Genesis 22:2 | | Description: From between the towering monoliths of Gods justice, and His mercy, a beleaguered and hungry pilgrim pleads from amongst the airy climbs of the gospels narrow pathway to the ambivalent travelers content upon lower, wider ways. He cries that others would capture just a glimpse of the sheep-gate of love that is found in the radical subjection of the Son. Re-discover the tragically hopeful message of the gospel lest ye forget from whence ye have been saved O Pilgrims. Have we forgotten that If God spared us, that he did not spare His Son?

| | The Pleasure of God in the Gospel of His Son by Eli Brayley
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Colossians 1:19-22 | | Description: This message was preached on September 6, 2009, at the Guinavah Campground amphitheater. "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight." (Colossians 1:19-22) Contrary to what we might feel, God does not reluctantly forgive sins but He is pleased and full of joy to reconcile His enemies unto Himself. It pleased the Lord to crush His Son for our sakes, and when we apprehend this wonderful knowledge of God's good pleasure in the gospel, our hearts will be liberated and our lives transformed.

| | The Gospel is the Power of God by Eli Brayley
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Romans 1:16-17 | | Description: This message was preached August 24, 2008 at Valley Church in Smithfield, Utah. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith." (Romans 1:16-17) The Gospel which saves us is the power of God and the wisdom of God; for no one was saved by their own power, nor their own wisdom, but by the working alone of God's mighty power. The greatest need of man is righteousness with God, but it is also his greatest impossibility. Only through the Gospel is that righteousness secured, not by the strength and will of the flesh, but by the power and wisdom and God.

| | A World of Idols by Tim Keller
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Acts 17:16-34 | | Description: The gospel should change not just our inner being but also the way we relate to the outside world. Paul engaged with society every day. He was distressed, indignant and compassionate about the Athenians' beliefs, but he kept his eyes on the cross to inform his words. He recognized their idols and raised up Jesus as the only true God.

| | And Kissed Him by Tim Keller
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Luke 15:11-24 | | Description: When God forgives of our sins, he assertively initiates the process of reconciliation even before we ask his forgiveness. The essence of God's forgiveness is that he absorbs the debt of our sinfulness upon Himself in Jesus Christ, rather than requiring us to repay the debt through our moral efforts. Because God sees us for who we are in Jesus and not who we are as sinners, we are empowered to become a community that doesn't bear grudges, belittle those who have hurt us, or force people to carry the sins of their past with them forever.

| | The Gospel by Tim Keller
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Isaiah 53:4-11 | | Description: The gospel is not moral conformity, which is religion, nor is it self-discovery, which is secularism. The gospel is something else altogether a grid through which we see the world. There are three results of the gospel: the restructuring of our hearts, the removal of our sin, and the reversal of our values.

| | What Is The Gospel? by Voddie Baucham
Topic: Gospel Scripture(s): Romans 9:30-33 | | Description: Most people in churches today have a false understanding of the Gospel. We associate it with things that are really the law. In this Sermon, Dr. Baucham discusses what the Gospel is "not" and what the Gospel "is".
