| | Church History - Session 3 (After Augustus) by Edgar F. Parkyns
Topic: Church History Scripture(s): Daniel 2, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 | | Description: Parkyns commences a new era in the Church from the 4th through 6th centuries. Persecution of the 1st and 2nd centuries phased out as Christianity became universally accepted starting with Constantine (313 AD). New creeds formed to combat new heresies, but even the biblically based creeds turned into dead orthodoxy, which gave rise to counter movements. Parkyns outlines gospel developments, monastic orders, and adoption of paganism by the 'official church' in Europe (particularly the British Isles), the rise to preeminence of the bishop of Rome, and a renewed interest in the Church about the coming of the Antichrist.

| | Church History - Session 3 (Prophecy in the Church Age) by Edgar F. Parkyns
Topic: Church History Scripture(s): Revelation 1,Daniel 12:4 | | Description: Parkyns refutes the idea that Scripture is silent about the Church age between Christ's first and second coming. He introduces the book of Revelation as a love letter from the Bridegroom to the Bride about what to expect, though written in code, to be understood by His Word. Parkyns sees God behind the scenes of Chuch history, not this net of jumbled doctrines, personalities and heresies as many have portrayed it.

| | Church History - Session 5 (History and Old Testament Prophecy) by Edgar F. Parkyns
Topic: Church History Scripture(s): Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Revelation 17 | | Description: Did prophecy foresee the significant events in the Church age, or did it overlook them? Is the book of Revelation speaking of things totally in the future, or are there legitimate evidence from the historical record that indeed show that prophecy has been completed? Join Edgar Parkyns as he sheds light upon the often mysterious apocalyptic language of prophecy--"the ten horns", "the man of sin"--and presents these alongside the obvious events of the history of the Church. You be the judge!

| | The Hidden Things of God - Part 1 by Paris Reidhead
Topic: Church History Scripture(s): 1 Corinthians 2 | | Description: The history of the church from hillside to magnificent cathedral. Is it God's way, or our way? God continually reveals His hidden wisdom for our spiritual blessings by His Holy Spirit. This message starts in 1 Cor 2, showing that the wisdom of God is revealed spiritually and cannot be understood by the fleshly. It then progresses through the history of heresy and apostasy in the Church -- ranging from Platonic dualism, Manicheanism, Augustine's doctrines of original sin and infant baptism, etc. A quote from the message says it all: "We had a Protestant Reformation, and oh, it did everything but reform! It was good, but it didn't go far enough -- it didn't reform."

| | The Hidden Things of God - Part 2 by Paris Reidhead
Topic: Church History Scripture(s): 1 Corinthians 2 | | Description: The history of the church from hillside to magnificent cathedral. Is it God's way, or our way? God continually reveals His hidden wisdom for our spiritual blessings by His Holy Spirit. This message shows that God often needs to get the structure of the Church out of the way in order to get his work accomplished. Reidhead discusses the Chinese Church (the "house church movement") and its success compared to Western Christianity. He also talks about the judgment hanging over the United States and of the terrible persecution that is coming (as Reidhead says "every prophet" in China or Russia has been prophesying). "If God doesn't judge America, he'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah for what he did to them." He then discusses the "manchild" from Revelation 12, saying that it is now within the Church (the woman) but will soon be cast out of the woman. The lukewarm Church simply wants to get those who are wholeheartedly serving God out of its midst. A must-listen, especially for those who are aware of the destruction hanging over America.
