| | What is Adultery? by Voddie Baucham
Topic: Sermon On The Mount Scripture(s): Matthew 5:27-30 | | Description: What is adultery? Before you answer, read Jesus's words in the Sermon on the Mount. You may be surprised. The standard to which we hold ourselves is often worlds apart from what is required by our Lord. Jesus uses the Seventh Commandment as a teaching tool to help his hearers see their need for the gospel.

| | The Law of God in Light of the Kingdom by Voddie Baucham
Topic: Sermon On The Mount Scripture(s): Matthew 5:17-20 | | Description: Christians constantly wrestle with the question of the Law of God. Is the Law relevant to the Christian? What laws must I keep? Where does legalism come into play? Matthew 5:17-20 is the key to understanding the Law of God in light of the reality of the Kingdom. The Law of God is perfect, timeless, relevant, and yet insufficient to save. Grasping these truths transforms the way we view the Law.

| | The Law of God and the Lives of Men by Dick Woodward
Topic: Law Of God Scripture(s): Matthew 5:20 | | Description: Many people think Jesus was contradicting the Old Testament in these verses, but He was only confronting the teaching of the religious leaders. He was telling His disciples: Everything I am teaching you is found in the Word of God, but what I am teaching is in direct conflict with what your religious leaders have been teaching you.

| | Sparkle with God's Glory by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Purity Scripture(s): Matthew 5:14-16 | | Description: This world is pitch dark. There’s so-called family planning where teenagers get "the pill" to prevent them from falling pregnant outside of wedlock. They forsake good traditions of being pure and exchange it for bad western ways. Boys have girlfriends and girls boyfriends while still at school. Things are rotten around us. Paul says, "I want to present you as a chaste virgin to Christ" (2Cor 11:2). The importance of purity has been lost these days. Children are born out of wedlock, or girls murder their children through abortion.
