| | The Spiritual Discipline of Prayer and The Manner of a Disciple's Prayer by Dick Woodward
Topic: Prayer Scripture(s): Matthew 6:5-9 | | Description: Jesus taught His disciples how to pray with a prayer we often call The Lords Prayer. But this prayer really should be called the Disciples Prayer because Jesus never prayed it Himself. He said this is how we should pray. Jesus tells us to pray in a place where we can shut the door and be alone, where there is no one to impress but God.

| | Praying in the Closet by David Wilkerson
Topic: Scripture(s): Matthew 6:6-8 | | Description: September 17, 2006. In these days of darkness and uncertainty the call of God to His church is to pray and seek the face of Jesus. God is looking for individuals who will wait on Him until the Holy Spirit is poured out. God often allows afflictions as an act of His love to bring us to our knees and cause us to bend our heart to His submission. In the secret closet God wants o replenish us and give us His covenant of peace. In these last days God is going to pour out a spirit of prayer and supplications with a supernatural enablement to pray.

| | 43 Principle 39 - God Actually Answers Prayer by Principles For The Gathering of Believers
Topic: Audio Books Scripture(s): Acts 4:23-24, Matthew 6:6, James 5:16 | | Description: With many in the Church prayer is treated as the last thing we do before God. We use prayer to ask Him to fulfill—in many cases—our own carnal plans. With thousands of books written on prayer many of us have still not placed prayer as the most important Christian activity we do, corporately619 or privately.620 We have special times for prayer once in a while, expecting that God should hear us and then go back to our normal lives without an intense reliance on God through prayer.

| | Our Father by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Prayer Scripture(s): Matthew 6:9 | | Description: He taught us to pray, "our Father" and not "my Father". When you become a child of God you cannot say, "I serve Him in my own way - you do your thing and I'll do mine". Such a person is on the wrong track. When we are born again we become part of God's spiritual family. When Jesus' mother and brothers wanted to speak to Him while He was preaching, He replied "who is my mother, and who are my brethren?". Then He pointed to His disciples and said, "whosoever will do the will of My Father in heaven, the same is my brother and sister and mother". The spiritual family is much more important than the physical blood family. If your child is not in the will of God, you are far apart from him, while another child who serves God, even not your blood-family, is much closer to you.

| | (Luke) 31 - The Lord's Prayer by Ed Miller
Topic: Lord's Prayer Scripture(s): Luke 11:1-4, Matthew 6:9-13 | | Description: The key point of the Lord's Prayer is relationship, and Ed draws out how the various relationships are underscored, such as Father-child, holy God-sinner, King-subject, and so on. As the model prayer progresses, God gets bigger and bigger and man gets smaller and smaller. In prayer we pour out our hearts before the Lord, expressing our longings to see Him and to depend upon Him for everything.

| | Pray For The Kingdom by Roy Pointer
Topic: Scripture(s): Matthew 6:9-10 | | Description: Pastor Pointer shares his burden to see the Church of Jesus Christ to pray for the Kingdom of God to come. To be a kingdom minded believer is to be a kingdom praying believer. And in reality is to be a kingdom believer in this earth, to live as Christ lived. He clearly shows that Christ becomes King in the believer to be a part of the Kingdom of God.
