| | The Rock by John Rhys Watkins
Topic: Christ Scripture(s): Matthew 16:13-18 | | Description: Preaching from Matthew 16 13-18, John gives us the very clear message that we must seek Christ alone, not going after any of his prophets or preachers but the Rock on whom our temples are built. He shows us how people like John the Baptist, Isaiah and Jeremiah will allways let us down but if we stay with Jesus, He will never leave us or forsake us.

| | God's Purpose for Us by Major Ian Thomas
Topic: Purpose Scripture(s): Ephesians 2-4; John 2:23, Matthew 16:13 | | Description: Here we are shown once again through Scripture that God gave the very life of Christ and wants to full us through out our being with His divine presence. It takes all the saints to build up the body of Christ. He finishes with the question, Are you committed to Gods will your way or the Fathers? Very thought provoking.

| | Cherishing the Treasure of Christ by Carter Conlon
Topic: Cherishing Christ Scripture(s): Matthew 13:44-46,2 Corinthians 4:5-6,Romans 11:33 | | Description: We have this treasure in earthen vessels; the Spirit of the living God indwelling believers. And that presence will produce in a hungry soul an ever increasing revelation of who Christ is. This is often revealed in us and to us through suffering and trials. We have this great kingdom which cannot be moved, such great victory, and power living in us. Pastor Conlon goes through many other scriptures revealing how the Lord Jesus Christ is our Treasure. The person drawing closer to Him, cannot help being awed by Him, and at the same time painfully aware of their own sinful flesh in comparison. If your heart is toward Christ he knows, and he will not let the enemy overwhelm you as you trust in him. Pursuit of an ever increasing knowledge and intimacy with Christ should be the Christian's number one priority. When we get careless with the word of God and prayer, tragedy can come. The devil is always after the treasure of the presence of Christ in your life. Pastor Conlon warns: There is no greater danger than to become careless with this Book!

| | Blessedness of the Unoffended by T. Austin Sparks
Topic: Offences Scripture(s): 2 Kings 2:1,Matthew 11:2,Hebrews 10:35 | | Description: The date delivered was 05/01/1959. This message brings to light the stories of Elijah and Elisha, as well as John the Baptist. It is easy to become offended at God when He moves in ways that we do not expect -- especially if He does not seem to be moving at all! But, our heart's cry should be to know Him. If this is the case, we will never be offended, no matter how "forgotten" we feel. Even our master Jesus exclaimed many times through the gospels 'blessed is he who is not offended in me'.

| | Offended In Christ by David Wilkerson
Topic: Scripture(s): Matthew 11:2-6 | | Description: The evidence of unbelief sprouting is that we no longer pray for what we once believed God for. The devil will come at us and try to rob us from the confidence we have in the promises of God. Jesus said blessed is He that is not offended in Him One of the most destructive devises of the devil is to trap and convince us of who Christ is and who we are in Christ so that we become offended with the ways of God.

| | (Australia) Offended in Christ by David Wilkerson
Topic: Offended Scripture(s): Matthew 11:1-6, Hebrews 6:12 | | Description: he enemy is speaking to John: "Why are you in prison? Why is Jesus so Passive? John is becoming offended by Christ. The enemy attacks us the same way. Are you offended by Christ? We pray and doubt that God can hear us, or answer our prayers. so we have unfulfilled expectations. God responds to us, "You are offended by the way I am bringing about my kingdom" You have need of patience after you have done the will of the father to receive the promise. David Wilkerson says, "I am so glad that God didn't answer my prayers in the way that I asked him! I would not be here!" One thing that John did well, was to take his doubts to Jesus. Jesus reaffirmed him of who he was and pressed him further, "...blessed is he who is not offended because of me"
