| | Studies In Isaiah - Part 2 by Harry A. Ironside
Topic: Expository Scripture(s): Isaiah 40-46 | | Description: Ironside continues from Part 1, commenting upon selected verses. Due to his failing eyesight, his wife reads the Scripture. He warned against teaching that didn't have "much teeth"--powerless and colorless preaching where "the unsaved just enjoy it." Ironside spoke of the glory days of the Salvation Army 60 years prior, when a thousand of them would march through the streets of San Francisco, and being delivered from legality.

| | The Fall of Lucifer by Steve Gallagher
Topic: Lucifer Scripture(s): Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28 | | Description: Jesus saw Satan fall from heaven like lightening, but how could this perfect being, full of the love and goodness and truth of God take that first disastrous step down the path of sin? How could this magnificent leader in Heavens courts break fellowship with his closest allies such as Michael and Gabriel? It began, as all such evil careers begin, with a wayward thought that gained traction. A fascinating glimpse into the life in Heaven before Lucifers fall from grace.

| | When God Is Exalted In Judgment by Carter Conlon
Topic: Judgment Scripture(s): Isaiah 5 | | Description: May 25, 2008 - God says if you dont exalt me I will exalt myself. If we judge ourselves by measuring ourselves by the standard of Christ and aligning our heart with the Word of God we will not be judged. God in His mercy will take us by the hand and lead us outside of the mindset of selfishness and self consumption. God is calling us to escape to the mountain of calvary where self dies, and we move out of the realm of "self" and a "me first" mindset to the giving of ourselves for the Glory of God. God desires to baptize us with His compassion to put others first. Do you want your heart marked with the compassion of Jesus Christ?

| | (Hebrews) 7-Power in Weakness (Is.41_14-15) by Leonard Ravenhill
Topic: Weakness Scripture(s): Isaiah 41:14-15, Psalm 22 | | Description: The Lord says, "Thou worm Jacob...thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small." Ravenhill explores the oddity of a worm, the weakest of all creatures, leveling mountains! Only the meek and lowly can be mightily used of God, whose strength is made perfect in weakness. In the Kingdom of heaven the way up is down! "Blessed are the meek." "He who humbles himself will be exalted." Ravenhill recommends reading Isaiah 40 every day to keep in view the supremacy and all-sufficiency of the Lord.

| | The Folly of Ahaz by Steve Gallagher
Topic: Folly Scripture(s): Isaiah 7-8 | | Description: Ahaz was faced with decisions of enormous import when he took office. Assyria was growing in power and belligerence to the north. To the immediate north, Syria and Israel had formed a confederacy and were pressuring the young king of Judah to join. The Philistines to the southwest and the Edomites to the southeast were overrunning the Judean countryside. As Ahaz grappled with how to lead his nation through these difficult times, the prophet Isaiah implored him to put his trust in Jehovah. The decision he made would affect the country for the next 30 years.

| | Do You Really Trust God by David Wilkerson
Topic: Trusting God Scripture(s): Jeremiah 17:5, Isaiah 30, Psalms 42 | | Description: There are some important things to consider before you answer the question. Do you really trust the Lord? That he is able, faithful and willing to do what he said he would? If we do, then why don't we pray or believe like we should? Why do we not cast our cares on him and leave them there instead of picking them back up and trying to do it ourselves? Bro. Wilkerson examines the passage in Jer. 17:5 "Cursed be the man who trusteth in flesh". This is a very important message for all. True faith in God results in an abiding peace and rest in your soul. When we haven't learned to trust God, he will bring us to a place of depth to train us to trust him no matter whats. God wants us to be prepared to trust him. He wants us to learn how to depend totally on him for everthing, completely surrendering to his will. Then comes the calm and rest.
