| | Being an Encourager by George Verwer
Topic: Encouragement Scripture(s): Hebrews 10:24, Philippians 2:3 | | Description: Miscommunication can take the best-intentioned encouragement and turn it to discouragement. Therefore love must overrule in all attempts to encourage. Verwer warns of the danger of "making the narrow road narrower than it is!" Forgetfulness and extremism are to be avoided. The importance of prayer combined with writing letters cannot be underestimated. Visiting people whenever possible is vital to the encouragement process.

| | (Guidelines) Pass It On To Others by J. Vernon McGee
Topic: Scripture(s): Hebrews 10:25 | | Description: After we read, study, meditate, obey, we should pass it on to others. He notes that we will reach a saturation point in studying the Bible without sharing what we have learned. We must exhort others with what we have learned in the scriptures. Sharing the Word of God is a powerful way to learn it ourselves.

| | (Hebrews) 6-Noah by Leonard Ravenhill
Topic: Noah Scripture(s): Hebrews 11:7; Genesis 6-9 | | Description: "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man." We live in an age in which living the Christ-life and keeping His commandments is almost as outlandish as building an ark in the desert! Noah was "moved by fear" at the word of the Lord and became a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). Such men are needed today!

| | Obedience of Grace - Illustrated by Noah by Ed Miller
Topic: Noah Scripture(s): Hebrews 11:7, Genesis 6-7 | | Description: "God used Noah," explains Ed Miller, "to give us the secret of missions, obedience and the Christian life." Brother Ed expounds how Noah (as a type of the believer) saw the ark (Christ as Savior) and that revelation consumed his life. As the ark got bigger, the man Noah got smaller; and when he finally disappeared into the ark, the great miracle of obedience happened! (NOTE: Pt. 2: Obedience of Faith - Illustrated by the Disciples on the Stormy Sea)

| | The Power of the Blood by Erlo Stegen
Topic: Blood Of Christ Scripture(s): Hebrews 11:26, Revelation 7:14 | | Description: The life is in the blood. Blood is so complex that even the scientists struggle to fully understand it. For example when you're cut, your body immediately reacts and sends the white blood cells to fight the infection. The dead white blood cells are then expelled as puss. In the same way the Blood of Christ cleanses us from all unrighteousness to counter any poison of sin that enters. The blood is like petrol that allows your body to function. The other members of the body remains in its place, but the blood is present right through your body. The blood also carries oxygen throughout your body. It also gets rid of impurities and acts like a refuse remover. We speak so glibly about the Blood of Christ, little realising what it does. It brings us life and that's why the devil hates it.
