| | When Lions Have Nothing More to Say by Carter Conlon
Topic: Prayer Scripture(s): Daniel 6:19-23 | | Description: October 19, 2008 - It's time to stand in prayer, unmoved by the roar of Satan's lies. The devil only needs one area of sin in our heart to take us down. We can shut the mouth of the lions when we dont allow past betrayals, injustice, jealousy and anger keep us from moving forward in Christ. We must get to the point where the devil has nothing more to say to us concerning these areas of pain. We know we are of an excellent spirit when we can bless the hand that God has used to hammer out our character on the anvil. We must understand that we don't grow by having our battles go away. We grow by having our battles finish their intended purposes.

| | The Approaching Wave of Persecution by Denny Kenaston
Topic: Persecution Scripture(s): Habakkuk 2:1-4, Daniel 7:21-25, Daniel 8:23-27 | | Description: Brother Denny Kenaston shares his burden on the coming persecution that will come in the end times but very possibly soon to Christianity world-wide. He clearly shows biblically that if we are of the kingdom of Christ the kingdom of this world will be in opposition against us. We need to prepare for this and prepare to love our enemies and share the Gospel.

| | That Thou Mightest Know the Thoughts of Thy Heart by Carter Conlon
Topic: Rebellion Of Man Scripture(s): Daniel 2:30-35 | | Description: March 18, 2007 - All through history man has been trying to create his own image of himself without God. It is futile to try to be like God without God. If ever there was a generation where we should not bow to man's image of himself it is this generation. The greatest thing God can do for us is to come and smash every false image that we have created about ourselves from human intellect and human strength. God will begin to work in us by His Holy Spirit and transform us into the image of His Son.

| | (Daniel) Wouldn't Bow, Wouldn't Bend, Wouldn't Burn by David Guzik
Topic: Scripture(s): Daniel 3 | | Description: The image rasied up by Nebuchadnezzar, was most likely, due to it's dimensions, and obelisk like shape, it was used by the king to test the allegiance of his servants and was most likely a political rather than spiritual device. The three Hebrew men Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego would not bow to the image as it violated the second commandment, they knew the penalty would probably have resulted in their death yet they obeyed God and not man. They faced tremendous pressure when brought before the king himself and asked if the allegations of their 'betrayel' were true, they stuck to their ground and told him they wouldn't bow and that God could deliver them even out of Nebuchadnezzars hand. For this they were cast into the firey furnace, here the original text implies that they began to sing and praise the Lord and Nebuchadnezzar saw the Lord Jesus with them in the midst of the fiery trial, there is nothing in the text to shwo that they saw the Lord there, but He was there and the trial only served to release them from their bondage.

| | (Daniel: The Man God Uses #3) Manifestation of Christ by Ed Miller
Topic: Scripture(s): Daniel 3, Hebrews 11:34 | | Description: When is the "power of the fire" quenched in our lives? The two things that turned King Nebuchadnezzar's head were the liberty and the fellowship these saints had with the Son of God. The good news is that the Christian life will never become more difficult than chapter one--setting one's heart to please God and not defile oneself.
