Power of True Religion: Power Through Us by J. Glyn Owen

Topic: True Religion
Scripture(s): 1 Timothy 3:5
Description: J. Glyn Owen speaks about what true religion is. He speaks of the work of the Holy Spirit in the believer and not simply a holding to doctrinal viewpoints but the life of God through us, His power. God manifests His purpose through believers to see His salvation reach others. He shares that our experience of power with God is not a selfish personal experience but for God's greater purpose. Lastly he ties in the Gospel and shares that this is God's ultimate larger picture beyond our own personal experiences for ourselves.

Topic: Balance
Scripture(s): 1 Timothy 3:5, Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:18

Brother Zac encourages seeking to build fellowship with radical, wholehearted disciples while being available to serve others. What about the right emphasis on evangelism and discipleship making? Gain practical insight in these areas that often trip people up in their Christian walk!

Church History - Martin Luther & the Anabaptists by David Guzik

Topic:
Scripture(s): 1 Timothy 2:5
Description: During the reformation Luther revived the doctrine of the priesthood of all believers, and empasised that every man was his own priest and that there is only Jesus Christ between man and God, this inturn lead to the foundations for modern democracy. While Luther was abscent from his church in Wittenberg he was replaced by his co-pastor who was zealous for reform and implimented the ordinances he read about in the Bible, such as communion. When Luther returned he rebuked his co-pastor who was only following in Luthers own steps but a bit to energetically for Luther. The Anabaptists were radical reformers who wanted to reform the quickly they read in the scriptures that the church was a called out peple and thus opposed the movemnts of the time that called for church and state to be united.

Missing God's Promises by Erlo Stegen

Topic: Promises
Scripture(s): Revelation 12:11, Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Timothy 6:9-10
Description: If you are asleep spiritually the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes will come to the fore and be very alive in you. If you're asleep spiritually even a service where God is at work doesn't touch you, and you go out the same way you entered. The doer of sin is a slave of sin (John 8:34). May God wake us up. May we hear this promise from Jeremiah properly for it's a great promise in the Bible. God's plans for us is a good future. Hell was not made for people but for the devil and his angels. But if you cling to your sin then you too will end there. There are those who say they will never confess their sin to a person but such are asleep spiritually.

13 Principle 9 - The Early Apostles Didn't Seek After Money by Principles For The Gathering of Believers

Topic: Audio Books
Scripture(s): 2 Corinthians 2:17, 1 Timothy 6:10, Matthew 6:24
Description: Christianity is not about money, it’s about people. Sadly modern Christendom has been overwhelmed with the salesman who sells Christ as ware and treats the holy things as a way to profit financially.150 It does not take much discernment for the worldly person to see the counterfeit preacher on TV who makes money look like their god.151 Yet, sadly, believers who are asleep spiritually, and have not been seeking the Lord, are given over to this delusion which is coming upon them in masses.152 False teachers abound and the saints are sleeping. There needs to be a clarion cry across all nations that God is not for sale and is against those who love money and equate righteousness with financial gain and profit.

Malachi #4: The Ways, Faithfulness, and Glory of God by Ed Miller

Topic:
Scripture(s): Malachi 2:17-4:6, 1 Timothy 6
Description: Ed Miller finishes the series on Malachi sharing on what should be the Christian's relation to material things and the only two problems associated with it. "The principle of the tithe was the principle of surrender," he says. "He wanted to be their provider, and they took away His privilege." Ed concludes that the cure for the whisperings of the heart against God is a revelation of the Lord Jesus.
