James Smith (1802 - 1862)
Listen to freely downloadable audio sermons by the speaker James Smith in mp3 format. James Smith and was a predecessor of Charles Spurgeon atNew Park Street Chapel in London from 1841-1850. He also ministered with great blessing in Cheltenham. His devotional, The Believer's Daily Remembrancer, subtitled Pastor's Morning andEvening Visit, was very popular in its own day, and has received anew lease of life through recent republication.
My object has always been to keep Christ constantly before the eye, and to enforce the precepts of the Divine word on the Lord's people — by the consideration of what Christ is to them, and has done for them — that so the love of Christ may constrain them to every good word, and every good work.
