Genesis 20 / Isaiah 39 2 paragraphs 9 vs. 4

Let us not fear or flaunt but trust in our Almighty God.

Psalm 20 /Revelation 11: 9

He who suffers for the sake of the Lord will in time be delivered and uplifted.

Key Verses Genesis 20:6-7 / Isaiah 39:6

Genesis 20/ Isaiah 39

1. Be taken captive for cowardice

As he looked at the environment, Abraham was so scared that he lied. He did not trust in God wholeheartedly until his wife was taken captive. As soon as God rebuked, the enemy had to pay reparation. Let us trust in God for He is Almighty.

2. Be taken captive for showing off

How could we delight at the gift of the enemy? Therefore, whatever king Hezekiah showed off, all were taken away by the enemy. Upon hearing the warning, he did not repent. He did not trust in God and cared only for himself.

Psalm 20 / Revelation 11: 9 Salvation / Humiliation

It seems a great humiliation for those who suffer persecution for the word. But in time God’s salvation will triumph. We will rise and be saved. God will grant all our prayers.
