Genesis 19 / Isaiah 38 5 paragraphs 7 vs. 4

Let us flee quickly from sins and press on toward the goal and eagerly respond to God’s kindness.

Psalm 19 / Revelation 11:7

Those who die to the Lord’s death and watchfully keep God’s way receive great reward.

Key Verses Genesis 19:17 / Isaiah 38 :17

Genesis 19/ Isaiah 38

1. Love the world and seek momentary ease

Lot hesitated to leave and coveted the world which ended up in disasters. He escaped death narrowly and received favor from God. We should listen to God’s word and press on toward the goal. How can we seek momentary ease and bear bad fruit?

2. Receiving goodness in vain

When king Hezekiah was sick to the point of death, God added years to his life. The sunlight went backward and God shouldered his weakness. He ought to have responded to God’s kindness in gratitude, love God and save others. How could he be selfish?

Psalm 19 / Revelation 11: 8 Keep the word / Die with the Lord

He who dies to the Lord’s death will be freed from the bondage of sins. He who watchfully keeps God’s word will receive great reward. It is by grace that one’s heart, mouth and deeds become blameless. Therefore preach His salvation widely and all nations will receive His favor.
