I am an adopted child. The man who was my Daddy for 44 years was not my biological father. I am also the Daddy to three children who I did not "Father." My fiance's boys (7 and 13) call me James but it is in exactly the same tone of voice that they use when they say Mom. Her daughter calls me James but is teaching her son to call me Grandad.
I suppose the illustration here is that we are not always able to say what we mean. It is a great gift of God to be able to hear what they mean and are unable to say.
My relationship with God is like that. I often can't express my true feelings or problems but God hears my heart not my words.
