DELIVER ME FROM MYSELF FATHER, SAVE ME FROM THIS HOUR John 12, 27 Dear God, even though you are placing me in peril and afflicting me, you are my Father, and you always will be. Deliver me from this terrible hour I am going through, this time of bitterness and despondency. Let me breathe on your breast and die in your arms. Save me, either by diminishing my troubles, or by increasing my patience. Cut to the quick, burn the chaff, but have mercy, take pity on my weakness. And if it is not your will to deliver me from my suffering, then deliver me from myself, from my weakness, from my sensitiveness, from my impatience.
