God's Wisdom. The Heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. Luke 11, 13. There is no Holy Spirit, no Holy Mind, other than the Mind and Spirit of God. Any mind or spirit that takes away from the only real treasure, no matter how penetrating, pleasant and capable that mind or spirit may be in gaining us corruptible treasures, is only a spirit of illusion that leads us astray. Would we want to ride in a magnificent and beautiful carriage that was only going to carry us over the edge of a cliff? The mind and spirit are made for the sole purpose of leading to the truth and a sovereign good. Therefore, there is no Holy Spirit, no Holy Mind, other than the Spirit of God, because it is only His Spirit that leads us to Him. So let us renounce our own minds, our own spirits, if we want to have gods. Happy are those who cast off their soiled clothing in order to put on the spotless garments that come from God. Happy are those who trample their empty wisdom underfoot in order to embrace the wisdom that comes from the mind and spirit of God.
