Lift up, ye princes of the sky,
Lift up your portals, lift them high;
And you, ye everlasting gates,
Back on your golden hinges fly;
For lo, the King of glory waits
To enter in victoriously.
Who is the King of glory?
Tell, O ye who sing His praise so well.

The Lord of strength and matchless might,
The Lord all-conquering in the fight,
List, lift your portals, lift them high,
Ye princes of the conquered sky;
And you, ye everlasting gates,
Back on your golden hinges fly;
For lo, the King of glory waits,
The Lord of hosts, the Lord most high.
