 Re:

This thread and the great posts brought Hebrews chpt. 11 to mind.

We always hear verse 1 quoted, but not the Entire Chapter :-) .

That's the thing about how far our "verse pulling" goes.

That Chapter is the inspiration of inspirations.

God Bless all.

 Re:

I want to thank Joshua for encouraging me to read his post. I also want to thank all those Christians out there who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. God bless you all =).

If you are unfaithful with unreighteous mammon, who will entrust true riches to you?

The radical Christian life is the normal Christian life and anything less is abnormal or an abomination.

I just want to say how abominable I find it that men glory in the size of their buildings when the size of their heart is decreasing by every inch of the building that is added on. I abhor the idea that we can get by in a world like ours by merely attending some huge building. The Greek word Ekklesia means the called-out [of the world] assembled [together] and if we call church a building then that is absurd. What kind of church is a building? It is an idol. The true church is "the manifestation of the body of Christ in a given locality," (Art Katz, "We Are All One".) One more thing: God is so much greater than all the worthless things this nation tries to satisfy it with that it is an abomination to even try to compare Him to the sexually obese and drug-addicted youth-worshiping culture of America that kneels to the gods of sex, rock and roll, porn, rebellion, disobedience to authority, celebrities, entertainment, etc. This nation is awaiting the judgment of God. I know that the song, "Days of Elijah" is very powerful. I think it might be more accurate, however, to sing, "These are the days of Jeremiah," in which righteousness is fleeing from us... These are the days of Ezekiel when the glory fled. These are the days of destruction.. these are the days of Sodom; these are the days of idolatry." I still like days of Elijah, but who can honestly say that? How many false propets are being slain on Mount Carmel?

I would like to ask prosperity preachers one question: How much money did Jesus have? Was your Lord a failure? I would like to ask that of all the "success"-worshippers too. I am so concerned for the fate of the nation when I look at the false gospel of easy-believism of our nation that simply adds to the sin of our nation. What is the true gospel? It is Christ-in-you, the hope of glory [not mammon.] The word disciple is what a true follower of Jesus is; the term Christian was coined by the enemies of God to mock those who were like their God Whom they mimicked--Christ. Who can say that of "Christians" today? What happened to the power of the early church? Where is the preaching of, "those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God?" We are far from biblical Christianity.

I thank God for Greg Gordon who has opened up this website to let those who are likeminded. I pray that the remnant may be empower to speak out against the sins of our generation and see another revival come. That will not happen unless hard truths are preached. Revival always comes at the cost of at least one man preaching against the sins of the culture (to my knowledge.) The Welsch Revival might be an exception--but they cried out to God. We must hate prosperity preaching and the god of mammon referred to in our time as "The Almighty Dollar." God help us if we do not return to Biblical Christianity. In the most Bibilically saturated society in history (with all the Christian publications and multiplied bible versions,) we are the most Biblically illiterate people ever. We seem to confuse Christianity with America. I heard a sentence that struck me, "We are more American than we are Christian."

If any of these words apply to you, you are in danger of hearing the words Jesus spoke, "This very night your life will be demanded of you... what will you do then?" If not, then pray for this nation to return from her backslidden state and remember the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world was crucified to mean and I to the world.

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. Who of us feels as the Apostle Paul who wrote those words?

God help us to love Him so much that we would say those words ourselves.

May the God of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him that we may know what is the hope of our calling.

I love you all

Whoever would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me.
You cannot love both God and Mammon.
Whoever would come after me must hate... himself.
Those who forsake... home, will not fail to receive a hundredfold, both in this life and the life to come.
A man's life does not consist in the abundance of his riches.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy, but lay up for yourselves treasures in Heaven where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves neither break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. So His disciples asked, 'Who then can be saved?' He answered them, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
If we have foor and raiment, we will be content therewith.
Has not God chosen the poor?
The Son of Man has no place to lay his head.
Mary was poor (she gave two turtledoves for the ritual of cleansing after giving birth to Christ indicating she was poor.)

Daniel 8-) 8-) :-) 8-) :-x :-)
