| Re: Revival Audio/Video Resources on SI! | | Wow.... God Bless you for putting all of those together! I'm sure it took a little while to make all those links. _________________ Some people do not like to hear much of repentance; but I think it is so necessary that if I should die in the pulpit, I would desire to die preaching repentance, and if out of the pulpit I would desire to die practicing it. - Matthew Henry

| Revival Audio/Video Resources on SI! | | Dear Ken,
What a grand work you have done here, just outstanding!
Could see where this may become a continuing progression... _________________ Mike Balog
Here I found the benefit of a principle which I invariably adopt, of never pressing upon any human being my sentiments or wishes, without an absolute necessity. If a friend be reduced to the necessity of refusing or complying, he will feel grieved: but if, though with pain to himself, he do anything without being importuned, he has a sweet feeling of love excited by that very act; or, it he refrain from doing what you wish, he feels a love to you for not pressing him against his will. ~ Charles Simeon

| Re: Revival Audio/Video Resources on SI! | | Bro.! You made an awesome quick reference. Well done _________________ Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, Luk 4:19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. There it is the plumline! How do I measure up to it? How do we measure up to it? Are we like Jesus, our master, or no?

Online! | Re: | | I love the way this brother put together this resource. I have it featured on the front page of the site right now. I hope many people are able to find some of these old historical accounts of revivals and in result are spurned on to seek the God of the revivals to do a fresh word in their heart. God is waiting for us to pursue Him, Oh the pursuit of God which is ultimately the glorification of God and the cheif end of the Christian life. _________________ SermonIndex.net Moderator - Greg Gordon

| Re: Revival Audio/Video Resources on SI! | | Thank You Brother for a tremendously useful set of links!
If we don't lay hold of revival in our Generation multitudes will perish!
May the Lord stir all our hearts to be as real for God as those that have went before us.
We have a great cloud of witnesses, who have proved the Might and faithfulness of our God. Let us say with Joshua and Caleb. We can surely take the Land!!! _________________ 1Tim 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

| Re: Revival Audio/Video Resources on SI! | | I just added "Canadian Revival Story" by Bill McLeod. It's similar to The Canadian Revival (Video) but has some different testimonies. I highly recommend it! |

| Re: | | Wow! I don't believe that I have ever noticed this particular thread! Great job!
I just received another copy of They Speak with Other Tongues by John Sherrill (coauthor of The Cross and the Switchblade with David Wilkerson, God's Smuggler with Brother Andrew, and The Hiding Place with Corrie ten Boom). It is a detailed testimony of Brother Sherrill's research into the Pentecostal movement, including interviews with David Wilkerson. The book includes firsthand accounts of various revivals in the UK and the United States.
I read the book as a relatively new believer. I am wondering how I will receive it now as a more mature believer.
Thanks Josiah! This thread is quite remarkable! _________________ -Chris Jeremiah 29:11-13 <///><
