Re: Abraham, My Friend Part 2

Quote:
The English have a pessimistic old saying “you can’t make a silk purse out of a pig’s ear”. Don’t be discouraged; God can! From your impossible situation, God can take you and lead you. Your future is not determined by your past experiences but by today’s response to God. Where God is, there is always scope for a new beginning.

Amen Ron.
This reminds me of another pessimistic old saying:

"The leopard can't change it's spots"

This is true, a leopard has no power to change it's spots, whatever those spots represent; however God can change the leopard's spots, and present him without spot or wrinkle as part of a glorious Church.

P.S. I don't believe in animal salvation... :-P

...they don't need it! :-D

Hi Mike,
Don't I don't know your cat, but Mark Twain had an interesting take on dogs..

Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in. Mark Twain

:-D ..and they should!

...and if we bought the idea that Peter guards the entrance to Heaven, he would have to leave the gates open so that cats could come in whenever they got around to it. :-)
