One brother who is a missionary in China cannot access www.sermonindex.net can anyone else from China verify that this is true? I wonder if there is a way to check blocked domains in countries.

Brother, tell him to make tracert from Command Prompt:tracert www.sermonindex.netIf he is with linux from console:traceroute www.sermonindex.netAlso to try:tracert www.gospelcom.nettracert 204.253.133.10From the results we can see where the packets are blocked - China or outside of China. We can see also is the blocking on IP level or domain level.www.sermoninde.net is virtual host on the web server on www.gospelcom.net that means they have the same IP address 204.253.133.10Let him try to open www.gospelcom.net
Thanks brother, I like your recommendation of him using an proxy server such as this free one: http://anonymouse.org/anonwww.htmltherefore the site being looked at through the proxy server would look like this:http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/https://www.sermonindex.net
In Hong Kong sermonindex.net works just fine. It would be potentially dangerous to access sermonindex.net inside China (especially if you are involved in secret Christian work there). Even emailing inside China if you're mentioning Christian work is dangerous. China block a lot of Christian web content and invest a lot of money into scanning the net.I sent an email to a friend and fellow missionary who is based in China, and I got back an abusive email informing me of my foolishness and how I could jeopardise their whole project. Hong Kong, being a Special Administration Region of China you can still carry out Christian activity freely.
