Daily Prayer {Today's Petition}

October 29, 2003

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it! Psalm 118:24

Simplicity in a world of complexity.

A one item prayer for the day.
This day.

Today's Prayer

Lord God, our Father who is in Heaven.
We are thankful for all things that come from your hand. This work that is before you, born out of your servants heart, to supply food for the brethren. This rich diet of your pure Word, spoken to us through these giants of the Faith.
That have been preserved and long forgotten, now speak to this generation, stiring us to greater heights and deeper truths.

Let there be brought forth supporters of this noble work. Stir the hearts of the hearers. It has been asked for 50, but I believe there is no limit to what You are able to provide. 100 may be to small a number. Surpass our expectations so that glory may be brought to Your Name.

In Jesus Name I pray.
Amen

"Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge; for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you, that they may be ready on your lips."

Proverbs 22:17,18

Today's Prayer

Father, help us today to keep our thoughts focused on Your Word by the power of The Holy Spirit. Bring into remembrance all that we have learned and cause us to walk worthy before You in thought, speech and action.

"To this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My Word." Isaiah 66:2

Today's Prayer

Our Father, today let us remember those who have laid down their lives for the sake of the Gospel and return to that original intent of this 'evening of holy persons'.

In the Name of Jesus.
Amen

"Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?"

Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice." John 18:37

Today's Prayer

Lord, speak.

 Re:

I purposely left todays prayer blank.
My reason being that I don't believe that
I should be offering up prayers to God if I am
in disobedience to what He is telling me to do.

I know that the lord has been telling me that I need to give up smoking. I won't bore you with the details, the lame excuses, struggles, etc.

If you are so inclined, I covet your prayers, and if somebody else want's to take over this thread and keep it going, please do.

Until I am in complete surrender to our Lord, I have no business continuing this. Forgive me for my duplicity and hypocrisy.

Mike
