 The camp of the enemy

"Ferocious warriors DO NOT SHRINK BACK from the enemy. They go into his camp and take back everything he has stolen from them. Push through your pain, deliver a fatal blow to the enemy and experience victory."

(Cora Jakes Coleman)

 Re: The camp of the enemy

Amen and amen. You will be in awe. Jesus will reveal His TRUTH to you more than you can imagine! Keep on. Just keep keeping on! I ask Jesus to reveal this victory to those who need it right now.

Quote:

Ferocious warriors face their enemies without fear because they know that if God is for them, it doesn’t matter who is against them.

Ferocious warriors find strength in surrendering to God and know that the biggest blessings often come after the greatest pain.

The God we serve is all-powerful.

 JESUS SAVES

SCRIPTURE

Ps. 5:12 –
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD,
You surround him with FAVOR as with a SHIELD.

Ps. 32:7 –
You are my hiding place;
You preserve me from trouble;
You surround me with songs of deliverance.
Selah.

Ps.121:7 –
The LORD will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.

Eph. 2:8-10 –
For by GRACE you have been saved through FAITH;
and that not of yourselves,
it is the gift of God;
not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created IN CHRIST JESUS for good works,
which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Eph. 6:15 –
in addition to all, taking up the SHIELD of FAITH with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

TIMOTHY ROGERS, 1691, wrote:

Ps. 5:12 --- When the strong man armed comes against us, when he darts his fiery darts, what can hurt us, if God compass us about with HIS LOVINGKINDNESS AS WITH A SHIELD? He can disarm the tempter and restrain his malice and tread him under our feet. If God be not with us, if he does not give us sufficient grace, so subtle, so powerful, so politic an enemy, will be too hard for us. How surely are we foiled, and get the worse, when we pretend to grapple with him in our own strength! How many falls, and how many bruises by those falls have we got, by relying too much on our own skill? How often have we had the help of God when we have humbly asked it! And how sure are we to get the victory, IF CHRIST PRAY FOR US THAT WE DO NOT FAIL! Luke xxii.31. Where can we go for shelter but unto God our Maker! When this lion of the forest does begin to roar, how will he terrify and vex us, till he that permits him for a while to trouble us, be pleased to chain him up again!

WILLIAM GURNALL (1616-1679) wrote:

Quote:
Ps. 5:12 -- ……the shield is intended for the defence of the whole body. And if the shield were not large enough at once to cover every part, yet being a movable piece of armour, the skilful soldier might turn it this way or that way, to catch the blow or arrow from lighting on any part they were directed to. And this indeed doth excellently well set forth the universal use that faith is of to the Christian. It defends the whole man: every part of the Christian by it is preserved……The shield doth not only defend the whole body, but it is defence to the soldier’s armour also; it keeps the arrow from the helmet as well as the head, from the breast and the breastplate also. Thus faith, it is armour upon armour, a grace that preserves all other graces.

Ps. 20:7 --
Some boast in chariots and some in horses,
But we will boast IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, OUR GOD.
They have bowed down and fallen,
But we have risen and stood upright.

JESUS SAVES! Hallelujah.

Hymn --
We Have Heard the Joyful Sound: Jesus Saves! Jesus Saves!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgQDNXlDOWM

Lyrics:

We have heard the joyful sound:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Bear the news to every land,
Climb the mountains, cross the waves;
Onward! ’tis our Lord’s command;
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Waft it on the rolling tide:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Tell to sinners far and wide:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Sing, you islands of the sea;
Echo back, you ocean caves;
Earth shall keep her jubilee:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

SING ABOVE THE BATTLE STRIFE:
JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES!
BY HIS DEATH AND ENDLESS LIFE
JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES!

SHOUT IT BRIGHTLY THROUGH THE GLOOM,
WHEN THE HEART FOR MERCY CRAVES;
SING IN TRIUMPH O’ER THE TOMB:
JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES!

Give the winds a mighty voice:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Let the nations now rejoice:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Shout salvation full and free;
Highest hills and deepest caves;
THIS OUR SONG OF VICTORY:
JESUS SAVES! JESUS SAVES!

Hymn – Our Great Savior

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6W_ly9Lx7Nw

Lyrics:

Jesus! what a Friend for sinners!
Jesus! Lover of my soul;
Friends may fail me, foes assail me,
He, my Savior, makes me whole.

Refrain:
Hallelujah! what a Savior!
Hallelujah! what a Friend!
Saving, helping, keeping, loving,
He is with me to the end.

Jesus! what a Strength in weakness!
Let me hide myself in Him;
Tempted, tried, in Him confiding,
He, my Strength, my vict’ry wins.

Jesus! what a Help in sorrow!
While the billows o’er me roll,
Even when my heart is breaking,
He, my Comfort, helps my soul.

Jesus! what a Guide and Keeper!
While the tempest still is high,
Storms about me, night o’ertakes me,
He, my Pilot, hears my cry.

Jesus! I do now receive Him,
More than all in Him I find;
Christ in me, the Hope of glory,
(Or, He hath granted me forgiveness)
I am His, and He is mine.

HYMN – THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzLQkOrXHYA

Lyrics:

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Refrain:
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is pow’r, pow’r, wonder-working pow’r
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow;
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s pow’r in the blood, pow’r in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful pow’r in the blood.

-- Lewis E. Jones, 1899

 Re: Going into the enemy's camp

Going into the camp of the enemy and stealing back what he has stolen from you. What does that mean to you and for us? If were to do this what would it be about? What would we be doing? Going into his camp. Why? Taking back what was taken from you. What has he stole from you that you believe still needs taking back?

I've got some ideas but am wondering what you all think.

David,

Who are the enemies but Satan, the world, our own “self” and the requirements of the law which we are not able to perfectly meet?

What have we lost but the glory of God?
Rom. 3:23 – for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Are you able to go into the camp of the enemy and steal back the glory of God that you have lost? Are you able to free yourself from the enemy and cleanse yourself from all sin?

If we can, then we do not need Jesus our Saviour.

They did try, long ago, to build a tower whose top will reach into heaven.....

Yes! Men are still diligently trying to do that now!

ADD (edited):
====
Anyway -- there are only 2 places: God's glorious and holy city and the enemy's miserable camp.
If you are in God's glorious and holy city you already have all God's treasures and you lack nothing. Please do not go to the enemy's miserable camp!
If you are still lacking, then you are still in the enemy's miserable camp. Please flee back to God!
There is nothing good and valuable in the enemy's miserable camp. You lost everything good and valuable when the enemy stole YOU from God's glorious and holy city and brought you to his miserable camp.
What needs taking back (or, taking out) is you YOURSELF (!)
