In the closing months of this year, from about Oct to now, I learned anew and all over again that PRAYER WORKS! If you will take time to pray about your life and your needs, worshiping along with your prayers, God will take time to listen. There is nothing more He likes to see than his own going into their prayer closet and shutting the door and ignoring all distractions and just praying and being with Him. You get edified in more ways than just the things you are praying about. I've tried however weakly at times to do this the past few months and seen some incredible answers to prayer. In more areas than just one. God loves to hear passionate single hearted prayer and release an answer bigger than one could have hoped for. If you pray and wrestle and go back again and pray and wrestle the Lord is not put off a bit. And if you even go back again and seek Him regarding something He is more than willing to say Amen and draw even closer to you. It is His good pleasure to release to His sons and daughters the promises of the Kingdom. In need I gave up watching some times of football and a certain game I never miss and God honored this time I set aside to seek Him and bent low and heard my prayer. Watching football is much less appealing to me now because I could use that time to be praying. And the Lord gave me the ability to go back to Him again. I heartily (and humbly I hope) recommend we find our prayer closet this year as never before. The delicacies of Babylon surround us and are ever enticing and we must crucify them to us and crucify ourselves to them. This age is going to pass. Purposefully setting aside time to spend with the Lord, even giving up time and things we like, is the best thing I believe we can be doing right now and in the coming year. What I have recently drank and tasted anew has me very thirsty and hungry for more. This God is very serious about the things He has promised. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. He has promised it. What is it you need or desire? What spiritual vision or work has He put in your heart? I had to o determine to rise from the dust and loose the chains from around my neck and find time to go and seek Him and stay before Him. God didn't let me come away disappointed and I believe He will do the same for all of us.
Amen brother, good word, thanks for sharing!
