Hey guys can you pray for me.I am again going through a stage in my life I can't seem to overcome struggles in my life and being i think attacked by demonic spirits. Could you please pray for me.
Brother John,You know that as a believer in Jesus Christ you have been set free. He has destroyed the works of the devil. He sets the captives free. No demonic force has any rights over you unless you give it to them. James 4 verse 7: " Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you!"Read Psalm 149 below, especially the part about the high praise of God in our mouths and how it binds the kings with fetters. Praising the Lord with all your heart takes your attention away from circumstances and negative thought patterns and focusses them on God and Christ. His power is unleashed against the enemy of your soul and binds them from operating against youPsalm 1491 Praise the LORD. bSing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithfulpeople.2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;let the people of Zion be glad in theirKing.3 Let them praise his name with dancingand make music to him with timbrel andharp.4 For the LORD takes delight in his people;he crowns the humble with victory.5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honorand sing for joy on their beds.6 May the praise of God be in their mouthsand a double-edged sword in their hands,7 to inflict vengeance on the nationsand punishment on the peoples,8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,9 to carry out the sentence written againstthem—this is the glory of all his faithful people. Also Psalm 91 the whole Psalm. Read it out loud with faith.1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the MostHighwill rest in the shadow of the Almighty. b2 They say of the LORD, “He is my refuge andmy fortress,my God, in whom I trust.”3 Surely he will save youfrom the fowler’s snareand from the deadly pestilence.4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;his faithfulness will be your shield andrampart.5You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.7A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.8You will only observe with your eyesand see the punishment of the wicked.9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”and you make the Most High yourdwelling,10 no harm will overtake you,no disaster will come near your tent.11 For he will command his angels concerningyouto guard you in all your ways;12 they will lift you up in their hands,so that you will not strike your footagainst a stone.13You will tread on the lion and the cobra;you will trample the great lion and theserpent.14 “Because they love me,” says the LORD, “Iwill rescue them;I will protect them, for they acknowledgemy name.15 They will call on me, and I will answer them;I will be with them in trouble,I will deliver them and honor them.16With long life I will satisfy themand show them my salvation.”
Brother John,Firstly remember you’re not alone in this- we are all members of the same body of Christ:)Secondly, we all go through struggles and various trials- some more difficult than others and it’s a good thing to ask for prayer when we get overwhelmed:)Finally, remember to focus on Christ Jesus! This is crucial in living out the victory He won on the cross and being resurrected. We partake in that by faith- the way that works best for me is to “think about what you’re thinking about”... where did that thought come from, God or the enemy or my flesh? Renouncing and rejecting that which is not from Holy Spirit and turning our attention back to Him:)In my experience, our mind/attention can be like a magnifying glass in that whatever we focus on gets magnified in our mind. This can make small problems and issues seem insurmountable all because we’re dwelling on the problem rather than the solution- Jesus :))) Scripture says we are to encourage ourselves by singing hymns and psalms which helps to keep us focused on the Lord and His faithfulness as opposed to how desperate things seem. Also reading stories about Joseph (in prison) Ezekiel (in wilderness) etc... help us to be able to relate their struggle to our own, again finding God to be faithful :)Will continue to lift you in prayer 🙏🏻
Brother John,I am praying for you. No matter how fierce the battles, no matter how many years you have faced those battles, or how hopeless your situation may at times seem, God has a purpose, He has not forgotten you, and He loves you more than you can imagine."He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." Job 8:21
