| NO! all are not saved I am NOT a universalist | | Look what I said
All I did was respond with YES! when the Spirit opened my eyes to see Him alone in whom I dwell. _________________ Vern

| Re: NO! all are not saved I am NOT a universalist | | ... I think I understand, brother, but just to clarify...by this one man (the last Adam) the Many will be made righteous...the many, not all? Of course, the salvation of the whole world was bought and paid for by His precious blood, but not all enter in? Not all receive the greatest of all gifts?
...for He is Head over all things for The Church, which is His body and the fulness of Him Who fills all in all
Blessings,

| Re: Rom. 5:19 | |
NASB – “For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners………”
Note: “the many”
Question: Not ALL?

| The many = all | | 2 Cor. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
2 Cor. 5:14-15 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. _________________ Vern

| Re: | | Thanks for the correction Jade :)
My point, though, remains as following:
Though Christ died for the whole world, not all are saved _________________ William

| Re: The many = all | | Thanks Vern,
Understood. Of course, the scriptures you quote are addressed to believers.
In any case, the point remains, though all humanity are legally justified through the death of Christ, not all humanity enter into or receive this salvation and justification.

| Re: | | Hi William,
Not all men are saved yet.
Acts 2:17 – And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
The Lord is still adding to their number day by day those who are being saved.
The Prophet Isaiah and John the Baptist preached salvation for all:
Luke 3:3-6(NASB) -- And he came into all the district around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins; as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "THE VOICE OF ONE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS, 'MAKE READY THE WAY OF THE LORD, MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT. 'EVERY RAVINE WILL BE FILLED, AND EVERY MOUNTAIN AND HILL WILL BE BROUGHT LOW; THE CROOKED WILL BECOME STRAIGHT, AND THE ROUGH ROADS SMOOTH; ((((( AND ALL FLESH WILL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD ))))).'"
Just as the angel proclaimed:
Luke 2:10 – But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;
1 Cor. 15:22 – For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
All died in Adam because of the devil:
Gen. 2:16-17 – The LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
Gen.3:1-5 -- Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden '?" The woman said to the serpent, "From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat; but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.'" The serpent said to the woman, "You surely will not die! "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
Rom. 5:12 – ………through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
Rev. 12:9 -- “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world…..”
Christ came to destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8 – the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
If only some of the all who died in Adam are made alive in Christ, are the works of the devil destroyed?
ADD:
1 Cor. 15:26 -- The last enemy that will be abolished is death.
Comment: Will there still be any who died in Adam that are not made alive in Christ? If death is abolished, can there still be dead people?
