Judgment Must Begin at the House Of God

A Special Prayer:

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God . . ."
(I Peter 4:17)

Dear Friends,

Blessings, grace and peace be unto each one of you in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, amen.

Late yesterday afternoon, I was blessed to meet with a small team of intercessors, to bring our petitions before the Most High God, and to wait to hear what He would say.

Our primary burdens were two:

Repentance before our Lord over the "friendly fire" that has erupted among us over several key issues that now face the nation as a whole. Rather than being in alignment with each other over these needs, we find ourselves, instead, opposing each other and hence, "fighting each other" in the Spirit. We asked God to forgive us as we repented before Him, and we asked Him to please teach us His ways, amen.

Our other burden is the hurricane that now looms in the Atlantic, off the coast of our eastern shore. This deadly storm is growing in strength by the day; and some are warning that we may even be facing "the storm of the century" unless, by some miracle, it either lessens in strength or simply turns and heads back out to sea.

We are trusting God for that miracle to happen.

But as we began to cry out and to beseech Him for His hand of mercy to intervene in the path of this storm, we sensed a grieving in His heart . . . When we asked for clarity, we saw that, because the Body of Christ is not in alignment with each other, there are literal breaches in our walls in the Spirit realm, which have produced great gaps in our shoreline through which the enemy (who comes to rob, to steal and to destroy) can enter in.

"Spare us, O Lord," we prayed, and "teach us Your ways."

It seemed to us that the very Hand of God could not be released to move on our behalf until we confessed our sin to him first, that He might heal our land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

Repentance for our divided state is the key; repentance by the saints of God will reach our Father's heart, that He might show us His mercy again.

It is written:

"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God . . ."
(I Peter 4:17)

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYER

For those who will, we ask that you join us now in offering this simple prayer of repentance to our Father God, amen.

"Dear Lord,

Thank you for showing us the error of our ways, and forgive us our trespasses against one another, for we know not what we do. We ask that You would move upon our hearts, teach us Your ways, that we might dwell together in peace, one with another once again. As we examine the walls that have divided us, we claim the blessing and the promise of Eph. 2:14-18. It is written:

14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer, and for tearing down those walls that have divided us by the power of Your Shed Blood.

It is written: "In wrath, remember mercy." (Habakkuk 3:2)

Amen.
