Hiu Guys, after reading Nigels Keith Green quote, I came under conviction. I have been blogging nearly 1000 posts on this forum for over 10 years. Although it was in the name of contending for the truth there was still so much flesh lurking behind.A lot of my blogging has been self seeking. I wanted to parade my "wisdom" and "devotion" and "win" debates.Isaiah 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!God is dealing with me in various areas in my life and I am facing many battles. I became involved in church leadership and preaching and need to focus my attention on Christ and His flock. It is good to have some sort of community here, but SI is not a church. Only the church is Christs means for true fellowship in Him and with each other.Jeremiah 48:10 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood. It is true that this formum helped me a lot, especially the wonderful audio sermons and articles posted here. I have fond memories of meeting some of you and the preachers in person. Some of them are in glory now like Yorrie Richards, Denny Kennaston, Art Katz, and others. Thanks Greg for doing a great job! Keep my account open, no need to erase it.One may say, why don't you just leave silently instead of making another splash. Well, my intention is to take a longer blog fast and writing these lines will hold me accountable to it. The internet and social media is more addictive than drugs and alcohol put together. It is perhaps the biggest paradigm shift in human behaviour and habits we have seen in centuries. It has invaded our live and controls us to a great degree. It deifys humans and their opinions and kills truth and decency. It is crippling us socially and morally. It gives access to porn and violence and destroys families. It cheapens true friendship and relationships. It spreads lies and fear. The other elder in our church has no internet, no email and no mobile phone, yet he does not miss out on anything.I see others have been convicted before me and left, and I will do the same. Please forgive me for any useless, prayerless and heartless words.God Bless you all and thanks for all the encouragement and inspiration I received here. Good Bye.Philip Stellwagen

Not really wanting to say "good bye" (the thought made me uncomfortable), I looked it up:_________Origin of goodbyeFirst recorded in 1565–75; contraction of God be with ye(dictionary.com)___________So, God be with ye as well - but, LORD willing, please do come back soon. And do tell your beautiful wife I said hello!
Thanks, sure, we both remember you :)
