Can someone help me how to search for a topic in Discussion Forums?I am looking for some discussion around Calvinism vs Arminianism. I have been studying the topic Original Sin. And stumbled at Calvinism and Armiianism. Just want to go through if there is already a discussion or material available here in SI. God bless.
brother, the best way is to use the search field on the top of the website on the homepage which searches all pages in the site including discussion forum topics. just an fyi also we have asked people to refrain from this topic in the forums in new posts:---8. DIVISIONS AND QUARRELLING - Having a healthy discussion on a topic, doctrine or important issue is allowed on SermonIndex. But if the subject discussion becomes heated and there is quarrelling it would be better to agree with your brother publicly in what you can and and hold to what you believe against him privately. This calls for great maturity and wisdom in speaking in humility. It is better to agree with a brother that you are Christians and not divide over non-essentials. Let us go forward with meekness towards each other and having in mind the larger picture of the entire body of Christ. "I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought." (1 Corinthians 1:10). We have found that discussions pertaining to politics, conspiracy theories, calvinism/arminianism and others just produce strife and not the fruits of the Spirit so we ask saints not to start these discussion threads on SermonIndex.http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=44556&forum=13----

Cal-arm debates are usually fruitless. Better avoid them.Proverbs 30:33 Surely the churning of milk bringeth forth butter, and the wringing of the nose bringeth forth blood: so the forcing of wrath bringeth forth strife.Judges 12:6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.
Thank you Greg for the help. Yes, I figured that this topic would be prohibited for debate. I also don't want to start a new thread which could bring quarrel among the brothers. I just wanted to learn these topics for my benefit and understand God's heart through His Word. I also appreciate SI and all the saints for maintaining a healthy discussion forum for the edification, uplifting, encouragement and growth of all the believers.
