 Overtaken by an immoral revolution

Overtaken by an immoral revolution!

“I don’t know, I’m not a good enough prophet to know what direction things are going to take. I do know that I hear strange things in evangelical circles these days. I hear people re-thinking things. We’re re-thinking Inspiration, we’re re-thinking the Deity of Christ, we’re re-thinking sin, we’re re-thinking morals.. “We’re re-thinking things. We’re even re-thinking whether God really created the heaven and the earth; and man after His Own Image. The evangelicals are now re-thinking things that the generation-ago-evangelicals took for granted and never gave a thought to.

So I don’t know what direction we’re going to go from here. They asked me – a newspaper in Miami, Florida – whether I thought that there would be more unity in the church in the days to come, and whether I thought there ought to be. And I said no, I thought there ought to be more division. Because I thought that there ought to a group of godly people who wouldn’t be taken in by apostate churches and preachers, and that they ought to stand out and stand up and be counted...” ~ A.W. Tozer

One can only imagine what men like Tozer would make of the times in which we find ourselves today. There has been a slow boil of Christianity over the last few decades, like a frog put into lukewarm water. "The premise is that if a frog is put suddenly into boiling water, it will jump out, but if the frog is put in tepid water which is then brought to a boil slowly, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death." Can I suggest that we as a society, and more specifically Evangelicalism and denominationalists, are being slowly cooked to death. The moral conscience of our institutions and nations has been seared. The skeletons have come out of the closet and have taken over in a revolution that most never saw coming.

On September 17th of 1793, in Revolutionary France, the law of Suspects was passed. This law allowed people who were merely suspected of opposing the revolution and its ideas to be arrested. Previously there was some semblance of procedure in the "tribunals" and some people were actually acquitted of the charges that they faced, mostly of being anti revolutionary. Now, because of pressure brought to bear, the procedure was "streamlined." You could be arrested, "tried," (without defense or the ability to call witnesses on your behalf) and executed all within three days. Marie Antoinette was an infamous example of this.

We in the west are now at the beginning stages of politically motivated courts who serve the immoral revolution. Those who oppose the ideas of this revolution are in the process of being criminalized. And those who call for that criminalization are no less zealous than the prosecutors of France's reign of terror. Not surprisingly, a main contributor to France's reign of terror was a journalist named Jacques Hébert, who was also a key witness in Marie Antoinette's trial. He was also a central figure in the process of what was called "radical dechristianization." This was embraced by the politicians and most of the people of Paris during the revolution. Can I suggest that there is now a process, again led by the media and politicians to "dechristianize," our society.

We now live in a world where fighting against so-called homophobia and Islamophobia is a moral imperative. And just so we are clear, homophobia now describes anyone who disagrees with homosexuality in all of its many forms. The same is true of Islamophobia. And so, speech itself must now be criminalized. Speech is the expression of our thoughts and ideas and if these thoughts and ideas differ from the immoral revolution then they must be crushed by zealous and violent groups like ANTIFA, the so-called anti-fascists which is of course, a text-book example or irony for they themselves are the very essence of fascism.

Now, where does that leave genuine Christians? Where we have always been since the Church began. We are standing in the gap. We are the true moral conscience of the world. We represent Christ here on earth and as light we shall be violently opposed by darkness. And of course, when darkness has an opportunity to sweep away institutions and societies then its first and foremost target is the light that opposes it. To one degree or another this has been our role in the world since Jesus walked the earth. And it will be our role until He returns.Stand fast brothers and sisters and let the light of Christ shine out as we become the enemies of the state. Remember, your Lord and your God was also the enemy of the state and if they hated Him they will hate you. But be of good cheer for when they hate you without cause and for His sake, great is your reward in heaven....bro Frank

I don't normally read long posts, but I read this one.

And I agree with what you have said.

True Christians are on the decline. Even the churches themselves are corrupt.

But God always has a remnant, thank God.

It is to God we must look, not this world or anything in it.

Take care and God bless.

Amen Frank!

The war is not over, it has only begun.
Stand firm, soldiers of the cross.

" Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war
With the cross of Jesus, going on before"

 Re:

Societies come and go but the Church remains, but as Frank is saying, there could be hard times ahead for most genuine believers in the West.
