Saints,I thought to share this with the SI community, Darrell Champlin's sermons can be accessed here.http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=462--Since Darrell Champlin's passing in August of 2015, his wife Louise has been working together with Conjurske Publications to compile one of his lifeworks into a volume of stories describing the ten years he spent in Congo from 1954 to 1964. The 300-page hardcover book is now available for sale at www.conjurskepublications.com.The stories, written in the early 2000s, comprise Darrell's memories of preaching excursions, individual conversions, everyday life, hunting trips, and other occurrences on the mission field in Congo. He devotes a significant section of the book to the Simba Revolution and its impact on themselves and other missionaries and Congolese Christians, some of which he told in his well-known sermon "Love with Shoes On". His inimitable writing style takes stories that had occurred 20 or 30 years prior to writing and brings them back to life in an incredible, impactful way. Frequently, the stories feel as if they had just happened that morning or the week before, rather than during another decade. He also delves into the theology and passion of mission in a number of places, remarking on the history of the African tribes and how their culture contributed to their response to the Gospel.
