Why the multiple posts? Isn't one enough?
Hi Femi, welcome to the forum, hope to hear more from you.Interesting question. I see David as a good soldier for Israel, he was a slayer of Goliath who threatened his nation. He commanded many men in war and was King over Israel who protected the nation many times. I don't see David as a Christ-one as in the New Testament, but he was appointed by God for Gods chosen people Israel. Sometimes he was a bad king, sometimes he was a good king.I see in scripture where God uses a nations military for judgement and also to set the captives free. Thou shalt not kill, protect your family, go to war, be killed or do the killing. It is a very deep question and I am not skilled to the point of giving advise on answering your question. I will give more thought and prayer and study.Thank you for your thought provoking question.Again, welcomeIn Christ: Phillip

IF...the question you're asking is whether a christian may kill for his country strictly by order of the Commander in Chief, the answer is NO! We have no King but Jesus! If you are asking something different, please elaborate.
The Roman Soldiers asked the same basic question to John. Here was John's Reply : Luke 3:14"And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages."
