The God Man
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.(John 1:1-5)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."(John 1:14)
I believe here John is showing us that Jesus the Man is totally God.The Word,The Life,The Light.
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.(1John 1:1-4)
I believe here John is showing us that Jesus our God is totally Man.The Word,The Life,The Light.
Yes this is the one:
"Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."(Philippians 2:6-8)
"Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell"(Colossians 1:15-19)
Yes this is the one by whom all things were created and by whom all things consist. The one who has reconciled us to Himself. The highly exalted One that we can know and fellowship with.We are identified with Him as sons of God ourselves, indwelt of His Spirit, and being His purchased possession, longing for Him to come back and receive us unto Himself.Just maybe that will be today.
Our Savior.The God Man.
