Daniel-I did not mean to sound critical of your post. I agree with all that you said and appreciate it. Just trying to work the "balance" out in my own mind. This morning when thinking about this a thought popped into my head:Is it possible Jesus went into the wilderness to fast because he was experiencing temptation?
By the way - what city do you live in?
From Verse 3.......Ye who think of sin but lightly nor suppose the evil great,Here may view it's nature rightly, hear it's guilt may estimate.Mark the sacrifice appointed, see who bears the awful load,Tis the Word the Lord Anointed,Son of Man and Son of God.If I choose to sin. Then I am not reflecting on the above reality of the death of the Lord Jesus Christ for me. I listened to this hymb this morning and found myself in tears. Truly if we have an idea of what God did on the cross for us. Then why would we want to go back to the cesspool of sin?Brothers and sisters I hope you get a chance to listen to the beautiful hymm that's posted on the thread Fernando Ortega Singing Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted.Brother Blaine
