| World Renowned Neuropathologist has Career Destroyed for Disproving Shaken Baby Syndrome | | The medical theory of “shaken baby syndrome” (SBS) is quickly losing credibility, with many doctors, scientists, and attorneys now speaking out against SBS and the fact that innocent parents have been falsely accused of child abuse. Courts are now re-trying some cases based on testimonies from these doctors and professionals, and some cases have recently been over-turned.
The medical profession is fighting back. The reasons are quite obvious. To admit that the theory behind SBS is false, would open the door to major litigation, as the theory has been used to convict thousands of parents of child abuse, and to perhaps remove tens of thousands of children from their homes and families. There is also massive federal funding available to seize these children, making them an asset to the state.
So the apparent strategy of the medical profession is to attack those doctors now testifying against SBS on behalf of innocent parents, destroying their credibility and license to practice. Without their expert testimony, it will be much more difficult to fight false SBS convictions.
The latest effort along that front is the action the British General Medical Council has taken against world renowned pediatric neuropathologist Dr. Waney Squier, who has now had her career effectively destroyed for testifying to the truth.

| Re: | | I am a little confused by the article. It's seems to be common sense that if you shake a little baby it can sustain brain damage. You don't need a direct blow to head to get a concussion or brain damage. For example, whiplash motion of the neck can cause a concussion even if the head does not strike anything. This is because the brain is not packed tightly in the cranial cavity and can slosh around in there. Acceleration and deceleration forces can make the brain strike against various parts of the cranium. It is why at my old age I can't ride roller coasters because they give me a nasty headache.
So I am not sure how this dr can say that shaking a baby can't result in brain damage. _________________ Todd

| Re: | | I've seen it. Shaken babies can and do sustain life altering brain damage from their brain injuries. It becomes an easy go-to by zealous prosecutors, social workers, police officers and others who may tend to hype risk in order to win a case, but that doesn't make it untrue. _________________ Tim

| Re: | | What the doctor is saying is that in the majority of cases, there is no damage to the neck. In a new born baby the neck is very weak and if a "shaking" truly happened, the neck would be damaged. Common sense, rules again.

The Medical Kidnapping Book http://medicalkidnap.com/medical-kidnapping-book/
From the Editor:
If you live in the United States of America today, and you have children in your home under the age of 18, every day you are in danger of losing your children to the State through medical kidnapping. Something as simple as bringing your child to the local emergency room to care for an injury or sickness puts you at risk for being accused of medically abusing or neglecting your child, and having a doctor direct a social worker to remove the child or children from your custody by force.
Medical kidnapping is defined as the state taking away children from their parents and putting them into state custody and the foster care system, simply because the parents did not agree with a doctor regarding their prescribed medical treatment for the family. In some cases it is as simple as telling a doctor you are going to seek a second opinion on a suggested medical procedure, and then ending up being charged with “medical abuse” and losing your children.
In this book we will introduce you to dozens of families who have had their children medically kidnapped, and we will explain why this is happening to thousands of families all across America today. Every family living in the United States today is in danger, facing medical tyranny and the state-sponsored kidnapping of their children.
What Others are Saying:
Tammi Stefano, Executive Director of The National Safe Child Coalition and host of the National Safe Child Show:
This book forces the reader to question the safety of children in America. Health Impact News exposes the power Child Protective Services Agencies have to remove children from loving and safe parents. If a child gets sick, if a parent questions the diagnosis of a medical professional, if a parent requests a second opinion, that family runs the risk of losing their child. This is a serious violation of the civil rights and liberties to raise your child, yet it is happening everyday, in every state across America. The mainstream belief that Child Protective Services “CPS” only protects children in abusive situations or homes is clearly false.
The compilation of factual stories in this book clearly exposes the danger families face. The battle parents must endure to save their children will shock you. The family unit, once the foundation of this country, has become endangered. ALL PARENTS SHOULD VIEW THIS BOOK AS A WARNING! Thank you Health Impact News and Medical Kidnap for your passionate work and insightful book!
Ann-Marie Murrell, Co-author What Women Really Want and Editor/Publisher PolitiChicks.com:
Imagine your family doctor telling you your child needs emergency surgery but you say you want a second opinion. Then imagine government workers coming to your home and forcibly taking your child away from you. Sound like an impossibility in America? Think again, because as Medical Kidnapping: A Threat to Every Family In America chronicles, this happens far too often. Thank you Health Impact News for bringing to light an issue that has mostly been in the dark. Table of Contents

| Re: | | I have never heard of anyone in my circle of friends, acquaintances, coworkers, family etc or people they know that have ever been threatened by a medical kidnapping. There is always more to the story. I am not saying it has never happened but I have never heard of it not have I read about it in the news. _________________ Todd

| Re: | | If the point is that the State will use any nefarious means available to assume full control of our lives, my name is Dolfan and I approve that statement.
If the point would be to deny shaken baby syndrome altogether, I say hosh-posh.
Seems to me that what we have is an opportune actual problem that gets leveraged by the authorities and institutions we respect in order that thief published goals of public safety and order may be reached with what they think are legitimate exercises of power. I suppose teasing that out is what they hope people will get bogged down in while they march on. Meanwhile, I just lump all exercises of power together as illegitimate impostors and thieves and robbers before the authority of Jesus, and cope with the reality that powers and principalities are not matched by notions of democracy, liberty or federalism, but must be endured until the end. _________________ Tim

| Re: | | I am not doubting nefariousness.
But I know of lots of people with lots of kids who have been injured like kids get injured and none have been investigated by CPS.
Like I said, where CPS gets involved there has to be more to the story. They don't get involved every time a child is brought to the ER or dr office with an injury.
Now, if dr has reason to believe that the child has been abused they are mandated to report it, which I think is absolutely appropriate. _________________ Todd

| Re: | | Have you read the article, dolfan.
There are many reasons that kids get injured that have nothing to do with the so-called "shaken baby syndrome", but that is the diagnosis that is used.
For instance, one lady had 9 miscarriages and finally had a baby. She had a 40 hour labor. About a month or so after being home the baby was taken to the hospital and it was found that it had broken ribs. They immediately suspected abuse, locked the mother up and pronounced a 400,000.00 bond. This is the one where Dr. Phil got involved. I provided the link. Read about it and you will see what caused this baby's broken ribs. It was not abuse. |

| Re: | | When I think of the ways our children have been injured I cringe what would happen if it would be today! We lived in the country with all kinds of things that can threaten a child's well-being: they got hurt and off to the doctor or ER we went. But then we live in a small rural community where most people know each other well and the doc grew up in the country - reckon that makes a difference?
