A Special Word of Encouragement from Aisa Harvest

Paul Hattaway from Asia Harvest writes:

Dear Friends,

In speaking of the end times, the Lord Jesus said, "Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:12-13). Recently, we have become concerned about the number of Christians we know who have grown weary and disillusioned with life, and even with God. We always understood the above verse to mean that because of a person's own sins their hearts will grow cold, but Jesus said it was "the increase of wickedness" that would cause this. The world we live in today is falling apart. Most of us never imagined we would live in a day when we are subjected to the kind of raw evil that is all around us. If we let it, the wickedness of others and of the world we live in can have a telling effect and cause our love for the Lord to grow cold.

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, please don't give up! God is still firmly in control, and His plans are on track. When the full harvest has come in, the Lord Jesus will return to rule and reign on this earth! (not to whisk Christians away as millions of believers have wrongly been taught). What a glorious future we will have if we endure in faith and love to the end!

We also get discouraged from time to time, but we are blessed to see and hear about the amazing things God is doing throughout Asia and other parts of the world. It gives balance and helps us know that ultimately evil will not win. Jesus is the victor!

We would like to share a video clip, which we hope will inspire your faith and help you realize that God's plans are being accomplished in this world, even in the Middle East. This clip is from the "cave church" in Cairo, Egypt. It was filmed a few years ago, but shows Egyptian believers passionately worshipping Jesus. Many of them used to be Muslims.

As you watch this video, we pray you will be able to look past any denominational tags and see the fire and love of Jesus Christ in the hearts of these Christians. There's more going on in the Middle East than beheadings and destruction. The Living God is purifying His bride and many are pressing into His kingdom. One day all who look forward to His coming will gather from every tribe, language and ethnic group to worship the Lamb of God!
