| Re: | | Some notes from a few years ago might clarify my positions a bit.
I have lived in the victory of a defeated devil and deliverance from the law of sin and death with joyfull hilarity.
I will see if I can find something on the devils inability to stop a single prophesy later.

| Re: | | Heb.12:28 Wherefore,receiving A KINGDOM which cannot be moved,let us have GRACE,..( The Devine effluence upon the heart,and it's reflection in the Life) by which we may serve God acceptable with reverance and GODLY FEAR; (v28),For God is a consuming fire.
2Pet.2:4, For if God spared not the Angels that sinned,but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness,to be reserved unto judgement; (V 5),And spared not the old world, but saved Noah,the eighth person,a preacher of righteousness,bringing in a flood upon the world of the UNGODLY;(vs6),And,turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes,condemned them with an overflow,making them an example unto those that after should live UNGODLY;
We know that The Word,seems to be telling us that "there were 2 trees in the garden "at the time of Adam and Eve. (1) The tree of Life (2) The tree of the knowledge of good an evil.
(1) The tree of Life,...after sin entered,..God put a flaming Sword,and Cherubrims to guard the 'Tree of Life' ,lest man eat and Live forever.
When Jesus came,and through His shed blood,We have access to this 'Tree of Life' ,who is Jesus,..that we can eat from thisTree,and LIVE FOREVER.( It is an EAT daily from this 'Tree of Life)
Am cutting this short for now.
Praise ye The lord,Who,we know is worthy of all praise and Glory,...Forever,

| Re: | | Brother,
I am happy to give you answer to your questions,as much as The Lord has taught me,and helps me.
No,...I don't think that I have ever wondered why God would not want Adam and Eve to have the knowledge of good and evil,( acually,though, I don't believe they needed this knowledge before the fall.)UNLESS,..with the knowledge,..THERE COMES AN OBLIGATION to find the remedy. They could,No longer be care-free.
But after sin entered in by the disobedience,..they realized good and evil,and realized they needed a remedy.
And,NO,...I do not question God,about why He would not want them to have that knowledge...Don't you feel like He gives us everything that is needed ?
We know,The remedy was made for them and us there,
The WAY, the PATH,...that goes from there to here. But as DECEPTION entered in there,it continues to this day.
1Ti.2:14,...the woman, ( Eve)..being DECEIVED,was in transgression. 2Ti.3:13,...But evil men and seducers shall become worse and worse,DECEIVING and being DECEIVED.
And there will be those,I regret,that will be deceived,even to the time of the judgement as we stand before The Lord,as the Scriptures,shows in the "But Lord,Lord",shows us.
And yes,..I do believed GOOD is GOOD,and EVIL IS EVIL,
Just the like LIGHT and DARKNESS.
God has a dividing line. He is a God of order.
And,no,I am sorry, I do not go so far,as to know the answer to your last question.
He made that path,that comes from the beginning,all the way to "THE WAY",...Who is Jesus
Ps.16:11,"Thou wilt show me the path of Life",...
But when He shows us this path,we know that we are without excuse.
Thank you,marcmc,for asking and causing me to think, although I know I have given you more than you asked.

| Re: | | Hi Elizabeth,
I believe the Scriptures teach that God does not want us to learn about the consequences of sin by experiencing sin. He does not want us to become knowledgeable about right and wrong by experiencing wrong. That was not His purpose or intent for Adam. He was not setting Adam up or tricking Him. He wants us to trust in Him, and trusting in Him and being obedient to His word, causes us to suffer in the flesh. It is the way of the cross. The cross is onerous to the flesh, so we must deny self to obey the Lord and sow to the Spirit. The first Adam chose not to do this, but the second Adam (our example) chose the way of the cross.
Heb_5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
We learn obedience by and through the Cross...through suffering...just as our Lord did. |
