 Creator And Redeemer

The Creator and The Redeemer.

"The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech nor language
Where their voice is not heard.
Their line has gone out through all the earth,
And their words to the end of the world.
In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.
Its rising is from one end of heaven,
And its circuit to the other end;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat."(Psalm 19:1-6)

The wonder of it all in Psalm 19.In these first 6 verses,we have the revelation of God in his creation.Creation gives us the message of God without uttering a word.David uses the Hebrew word "El"for God in verse 1.The Almighty,The all Powerful One.In God's creation the power,the presence and the personality of God is revealed.The God of creation.

"The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;
The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer."(Psalm 19:7-14)

In these next 8 verses we have the revelation of God in His Word.Here is the revelation that man needs God for redemption after being put in his place by the wonders of God's creation.David here uses Jehovah (translated Lord in our English versions)for God.The God of Redemption,the redeeming God.He uses it 7 times in these 8 verses.
After seeing our place in the vastness of this great creation of God and then the need of redemption revealed in His Word,(the redemption that only He can provide),we see David in the last line proclaim "O Lord my Strength and Redeemer."The "All Powerful One" and the "Redeemer" all in one.

"The Heavens Declare the Glory of God." (Psalm 19:1)
"O Lord my Strength and Redeemer." (Psalm 19:14)

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse."(Romans 1:20)

The revelation of God in His creation.

"Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24)

The Redemption that God has provided.

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hand hath made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Then we that believe and have Him as our Savior,we have the hope instilled in us of His coming for us and our going to meet Him in the air the Redemption of our bodies and forever being with Him.

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."(1Thessalonians 4:16-18)

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"

Yes the Creator and the Redeemer

 Re: Creator And Redeemer

I love this part, rather then focusing on his will and freedom to choose to not sin as many do ,David appeals to the all controlling god who sets us free from the dominion of sin as we know in covenant theology and even keeps us from sin and causes our words to be clean ,what a sovereign god we relay have ,and that we should always appeal to this power that god has over creation to guide our steps as a father guides his baby's wobbly waving feet ,and that we might as a child obey our commands of our fathers ALLpowerful voice ..

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight

 Re:

Just so i dont go of the track with that ,another part of Scripture says CREATE in me a clean heart ,that is how he fulfills the previous post ,but also a constant maintenance and renewal of what he has begun through regeneration .

HE IS OUR CREATOR
HE IS OUR REDEEMER
