"Pilgrim and Sojourner." - 1 Peter 2:11

End Time Missions by James S. Eagles

Our Bible tells us we are living in the last days before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The signs of His coming are everywhere: wars, rumours of wars, natural disasters, poverty, famine, and tremendous immorality; and at the same time the one sign of His coming–that is the most wonderful, powerful and positive sign–that our Lord Jesus spoke of when questioned by his disciples as to when the end of the age would happen was the answer he gave to his disciples, part of which reads:

“and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?” Matthew 24:3 (NKJV)

After telling them about all the horrors and the persecutions which would come upon much of the world in the last days as judgments and warnings from God, Jesus shared the most promising and edifying SIGN of ALL when he said:

“And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matthew 24:3, 14 (NKJV)

On that optimistic and incredible statement we build the case for the Body of Christ in these end times and for the incredible authority and opportunity that our Lord has given to “everyone who believes.” This Gospel of the Kingdom is being preached by those who obey and GO, by those who obey and GIVE, by those who obey and SERVE and by those who obey and PRAY. It is the God-given opportunity that He has given every believer in the Body of Christ.

Everyone in Christ’s many-membered Body has literally been given the opportunity at this moment to do something to hasten the day of His coming–by proclaiming and helping others to proclaim the Everlasting Gospel Message to every nation, people and tongue! This, my friend, is exciting! Everlasting joy shall be upon the head of everyone who participates. The King is Coming! Go out to meet Him, the Scripture says! But how do we go out to meet Him?

Jesus said, “Inasmuch as you have done it to the least of these, you have done it to me” (Matthew 25:40 NKJV). By Going, Serving, Giving and Praying, we are partners together with our Lord, who is the Head of His Body. The Scripture teaches us that it is inherently “His Body,” together in unison with Him, being the Head of this Body, which shall proclaim this Gospel of the Kingdom of God for a Witness to all Nations. The accent being on “all.”

What shall each one of us do to help hasten the day of His coming, and to hasten the opportunities for millions of souls to hear, to really hear the Good News and be saved for eternity? What are we doing? Pray for the situation in Ukraine, and for the countless millions of Muslims in the Middle East and Central Asia, most of whom do not yet know the Lord. This is their Time. This is our time. Let us read and be informed. Have knowledge and have a Vision. Have a Vision and Intercede–for now is the time!
