Tunni of SomaliaThe Tunni are located in southern Somalia, between the Juba and Shebelle Rivers. This region has the richest agricultural land in the country. The Tunni are primarily farmers. They live in round huts with mud walls and cone-shaped grass roofs. The dress of both men and women closely resembles a Roman toga and is typically white or gray in color. The Tunni are 100% Muslim. Although they are quite orthodox in their religious practices, few have a deep understanding of their faith.Ministry ObstaclesSomalia is a harsh land, and the Tunni people are strongly committed to their current faith. There are no known Christians among them.Outreach IdeasMuch sustained, persistent prayer is needed to prepare these people to hear and understand the good news about Christ.Pray for the followers of ChristPray for followers of Christ to soon be produced among the Tunni tribe. Pray they will quickly understand the basis for their new faith is the finished work of Jesus Christ, not their own merit.Pray for the entire people groupPray for peace in Somalia, that all peoples of the country may be blessed. Pray for a stable, effective government.Scripture Focus"How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?" Romans 10:14-15
