We look at the vision that God gave Ezekiel but before let us look at a promise given by the Lord earlier in chapter 11. The Lord speaks of the scattering of His people and then says: “And although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.” What a glorious promise for the people of God then that God would be with them in all those distant lands. Yet we see this true of the body of Christ in our day that God promises to be a “little sanctuary” to saints where they gather in just small gatherings of 2-3 believers. Jesus Christ said He would be with His people. Are you meeting in such a little sanctuary? Are you gathering with true believers who are a part of the family of God?
Let us read: Ezekiel 37:1-10
“The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’” So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
The Lord is today raising up a “great army” for His Names sake. A remnant who have counted the cost and are disciples of our Lord. A gathering of believers who will settle for nothing less then the Baptism of the Spirit of God on their lives. Realizing that without Him they can do not one thing. God is raising an end-times assembly of saints in every people group and nation that will be obedient to His call to be a witness. They will be a people who obey God in all things just like Noah. Let us not be afraid to cry out for this fresh Baptism of Power to be witnesses to all peoples. The Church in the West is a valley of dry bones but God is breathing upon Christendom to raise up an end-times army. Amen.
