It is very clearly stated what takes place before the coming of Jesus at the great sound of a trumpet when he gathers together to him his chosen people ( the resurrection where the dead are raised )
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Why do people struggle with this Truth that Jesus has clearly declared, from his own mouth?
Why say that it does not mean this and then make a whole new doctrine (a doctrine of man) and say that Jesus did not mean this and that there is another doctrine on the return of Jesus.
Eph 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Eph 2:17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
We were grafted into the commonwealth of Israel, we have become fellow citizens with the saints
When Jesus was speaking to His disciples He was speaking to those that were the beginning of the new covenant of Christ, we as Gentiles have been accepted into that very same covenant, why do we then say that we are separate and that we are better, we should not boast.
There is not one single verse in scripture that supports any contradiction to the very words that Jesus declared.
It is very simple, Jesus stated that after the Tribulation there will be signs in the heavens of His coming and there will be a sound of a trumpet and He will gather to himself all of those chosen. All other scripture in the Old Testament and New Testament aligns fully with this Truthful declaration by Jesus.
I would encourage all to read and believe, to search each scripture, and to study what doctrine they have been taught, many today have never studied the theory that they believe, we are called to give an answer for what we believe.
