2Th 2:7 until he be taken out of the way

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working, only he is now holding back until it comes out of the midst.

Have you already noticed a difference to what you have always read, read again

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working, only he is now holding back until it comes out of the midst.

now let us look at the translation you are probably used to or have based your theories on.

2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
What is the difference?
he is now holding back until it comes out of the midst.
he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Two totally different pictures, one picture is of the mysterious person (the son of perdition)holding back until out of the midst it comes then it is revealed, whom Christ destroys at His coming, the other picture is of another person that is not clearly named or identified and this person is allowing or holding back until it is removed out of the way.
What a contrast, the first translation is of a person coming into existence out of a place so that it is revealed, the second translation is of a person that is removed from out of the way as if it is blocking.

Which translation is more correct according to the way the same words are used in the rest of scripture and according to the Greek word?
There has been so many different views and interpretations on this HE BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY
So many come from a persons theory or doctrine, some say this person is the holy spirit, some say it is the church, some say that it is Gabriel.
It is so important before interpreting any scripture to first of all understand the word that is being used, look at other places in scripture to see how that same exact word is used and in this case also look at the meaning of the exact Greek word used.
For the purpose of this study I would like to first look at the word (comes) be Taken
G1096

γίνομαι
gínomai; fut. genḗsomai, 2d aor. egenómēn, perf. part. gegenēménos, 2d perf. gégona, 2d pluperf. egegónein, aor. pass. egenḗthēn for egenómēn. This verb is mid. deponent intrans. primarily meaning to begin to be, that is, to come into existence or into any state; and in the aor. and 2d perf. to have come into existence or simply to be.

So this word be taken ( comes) means to begin to be, to come into existence
Let us look at scripture where this same word is used to see if it means to be or to come into existence
Mat 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and {BECOME} as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Mar 12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is {BECOME} the head of the corner:
Gen 1:3 AndG2532 God said,G2036 G3588 G2316 {LET THERE BE} G1096 light!G5457 AndG2532 there wasG1096 light.G5457
So as you can see the Word taken does not mean to remove or to take away, but in fact means to be, to come into existence
Let us now look at the word (midst) way

G3319

μέσος
mésos; fem. mésē, neut. méson, adj. Middle, in the midst.
used in the following verses
So this word means in the midst
Mat 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the {MIDST} of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Mat 14:24 But the ship was now in the (MIDST) of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

So this way word does not mean something that is blocking but something that is in the midst or middle of

So which Translation that is used really brings out the true meaning of the words?
Let us now look at some translations that do show the real meaning.
Literal translation
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness already is working, only he is holding back now, until it comes out of the midst.
Modern king james version
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already working, only he is now holding back until it comes out of the midst.
Apostolic Bible
2Th 2:7 For theG3588 G1063 mysteryG3466 [2alreadyG2235 3operatesG1754 G3588 1of lawlessness],G458 onlyG3440 there is the oneG3588 constrainingG2722 just nowG737 untilG2193 [2out ofG1537 3 the midstG3319 1he should be].G1096

So there are translations that translate the words more accurately, let us now reread the same verses in the clearer translations

2Th 2:1 And, brothers, we entreat you, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of our gathering together to Him,
2Th 2:2 for you not to be quickly shaken in the mind, nor to be disturbed, neither through a spirit, nor through speech, nor through letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ has come.
2Th 2:3 Do not let anyone deceive you in any way, because that Day will not come unless first comes the falling away, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
2Th 2:4 the one opposing and exalting himself over everything being called God, or object of worship, so as for him "to sit in the temple of God" as God, setting forth himself, that he is God. Dan. 11:36; Eze. 28:2
2Th 2:5 Do you not remember that I told you these things, I yet being with you?
2Th 2:6 And now you know the thing holding back, for him to be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness already is working, only he is holding back now, until it comes out of the midst.
2Th 2:8 And then "the Lawless One" will be revealed, "whom" "the Lord" "will consume" "by the spirit of His mouth," and will bring to nought by the brightness of His presence. Isa. 11:4

What a difference it makes, Paul states that our gathering together with Christ will not happen until the falling away comes first and the man the man of sin is revealed, this is the thing that is holding back the gathering together of Christ and us, they must happen before we are gathered to Christ, also the person of Antichrist, the mystery of lawlessness that is holding back, no one will know who he is until it comes out of the midst, then He will be revealed whom Christ will destroy by his coming.

May this shed more light for you on the verses 6, 7 and 8

Praise God for His word and the hope his word and truth brings

I know which translation is more true, I would encourage you to search all of the rest of the verses in scripture that uses the two greek words (the midstG3319 and should be].G1096) just to confirm the more truer translation
